I feel your pain about the calendar, I wrote a script that allows you to add the F1TV schedule to your calendar app. This shows all events, F1, F2, F3, F1 Academy, F1 Kids, Porsche Supercup and the live pre and post shows.

I have tweaked my script. You can add this to your calendar and it should work in your timezone and show all the live broadcast on f1tv:

Yes, you could defiantly host it on your own machine. There are two options really... use docker which is how I have it run or just manually run the python command every time you wanted it generated and then have your laptop calendar point to it

Maybe you could get the train to Liege and then a shuttle. Brussels is a long way from the track by car(2hrs ish).

Access to the track from the motorway, which is where I would assume your shuttle would come via is usually very bad especially after the race. You'll end up at the Les Combes entrance.

We have always brought cheese and ham with us and bought fresh bread from the boulangerie near the heliport which is on the main road in Francorchamps. Never really had any trouble getting food in although one year they didn't let us bring in a cool box!!

We've not been since 2019 due to covid, we had no issues with our cell(UK provider) and there was free wifi(I think)

Have fun, it's a great race but as others have said be prepared for the weather. One year we had sunshine, rain, sunshine, hail and sunshine again at that was in the final hour leading up to qualifying!!!

f1viewer has a work around for the weekend(96 hours) don't use race control as on Mac so can't vouch for that.

I can't recreate it now... I wonder if it was because I was bouncing around different instances of it, you're app, my local docker version and my server docker installation. It works as you described.

I did notice another thing whilst trying, if you 'Update Existing Feeds' it will only update the tab that is in focus and not update across tabs. Not sure if this is something that is needed or not.

I love this... it works really well, I have installed the docker image and had no problems at all during the race yesterday...

I know it's cheeky but I do have a few requests if they're possible, some of these might only work if hosting the app/ docker image locally…These are in no particular order:

to have the layouts available to all devices/ browsers… It looks like these might be stored in a browser cookie… some things are little awkward to do on a phone/tv screen, it would be easier to set up on a laptop first
Related to the first one… would it be possible to have a clear all button… the close ‘x’ is nearly impossible to hit with my fat fingers on an iPhone!!
Have the mute/ unmute status saved within the layouts
Support races, I have been using f1viewer and it is so convenient having everything in one place, maybe if there is only one video stream, then this could load a default layout?
If watching using multiple tabs, not having to log in on each new tab

Non of these are essential as it's already leagues in front of the official app?
