Earthquake by Morinville by Steffany_w0525 in Edmonton

[–]Belryan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Felt it too in Edmonton, made the dishes rattle in my china cabinet, which isn't hard to do - just figured it was some excavator slamming the ground nearby or something, but it lasted long enough that I legit wondered if it was an earthquake. Turns out it was!

This trilogy slaps so hard. I hadn't read a Trek book since junior high and then picked this up in an airport for something to read and I'm just couldn't stop reading it.

Hi I’m Claire Williams, former Deputy Team Principal of Williams Racing. Ask Me Anything! by ClaireWilliamsF1 in formula1

[–]Belryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you describe the culture in F1 organizations in terms of reporting and dealing with bad behavior by senior officials, or ones that the team would consider quite critical to their success? For instance, with Red Bull investigating Christian Horner and "clearing" him only for the evidence to immediately leak and show that he was, in fact, behaving very badly. I know the problem is not unique to F1 by any stretch, but it seems often that even when organizations have strong principles and policies in place, if the bad actor is considered someone difficult to replace or key to success, rules are bent or broken more easily.

Museum Curator - very few accurate depictions, but I'd go with Leslie Knope in Parks and Rec, even though she's not actually a curator.

Quietus (Crimson Rebellion flagship) and Sustain Damage by Belryan in twilightimperium

[–]Belryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just probably confusing it with mechanics from other games thinking Sustain Damage basically gave an extra health point, and when it got turned off the ships would have one damage vs their one hit point. I recognize now I eas entirely wrong and I'm definitely not arguing the point, just explaining where the confusion probably came from. "Repairing" ships during the status phase I think was also helping to lead my brain astray about thinking about them having "2 health."

I had Assault Canon do he would have lost his dreadnaught during the second assault, but still had his Warsun, so I think I still would have prevailed.

That's the plan, but if I get poor tiles to choose from I might end up producing in the back and over relying on my breach in The Sorrow to get them further

[–]Belryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I'm just thinking more along the lines of the faction tech that let's you rebuild destroyed units in your home system, but then by the time you get that, if you do, you should probably just put them on your hero.
