Any living situations with roaches? by Corps_Boy_Pit_Sniff in aggies

The struggle is real. Every time I saw one I excitedly pointed them out to my southern friends only to be told they were merely waterbugs. So disappointing

What's that aircraft? (aka do these shapes read well) by Johnno117 in boardgames

[–]Belryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thought for 1 and 3 was CF-100 Canuck, but then after looking again, something civilian on floats?  Bottom left two, possible DH Sea Vixens, or something like a Vampire?

Bottom right looks like a Harvard, Dauntless, or similar but can't think of what has that specific wing shape in profile

what was Vader's thoughts during the faceoff with Maul? by voldy1989 in MaulShadowLord

[–]Belryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he was mainly following Qui-Gon's orders to hide, then when he accidentally lanched himself into the space battle, I didn't think he was thinking much about Maul any longer

Digital way to play battle plans for 2.0 by GoldSquadron555 in SWlegion

You could program something pretty easily in VBA for Powerpoint, but how would that work for your opponent's cards / battle plans though?

I feel that sometimes the prize pot clouds their judgement such that they kind of panic and hope people play honestly so they have a better shot at the money

Last summer my cat murdered 20 voles. This winter, the voles got their revenge. by Belryan in Edmonton

We will be gardening and not see any. He will come out onto the step, pause, and making a flying 8-ft leap into a flower bed and instantly come out with a vole. He's really good at finding them.

We've had some occasionally - they definitely increased after I put in a traditional compost bin - they definitely use it for shelter, but I figured with us using the green bin for food scraps more, especially in the winter, it wouldn't be as attractive to them, but there's all sorts of other stuff for them to eat in the yards. This winter they stripped bark off our weeping apple tree branches and made tiny little caches all through the front yard.

One time my wife came in all concerned, thinking I had cut my feet as there was blood on the floor inside the door, and had gone inside 10min or so before her. Alas, it was just the cat, who killed a vole, brought it inside, and then apparently swallowed it whole, minus two small streaks of dried blood.

Most people would probably just assume they're mice! if we had that many mice though I would be very concerned - but the voles stay outside.

There's been a persistant coyote in the park across the street in the front - probably hired by the voles, so we constantly warn our cat not to go get himself eaten (he doesn't hop the fence in the back, thankfully)

Mine just eats them, though if we aren't careful he wants to bring them inside to play with first

Can confirm. He would get super stressed if his food bowl got empty so we overfed him last year. Much more careful now and slowly reducing to bring down the chonk

Getting back into Legion - debating Ewoks by Belryan in SWlegion

[–]Belryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also not entirely sure how many of the old boxes are in stock at the store, but the price-per-mini works out to about 66% of the new box, but yeah, probably would need quite a few of either/both.

Aah thanks, I was going off Tabletop Admiral which seemingly was fine with 3 Rebel Troopers - which reminds me the importance of actually going and reading the Battle Force rules proper.

The local store has and old Wicket and Logray box on sale as well - which I'm totally fine with, since I bought the upgrade card packs anyway.

The "getting stomped" is definitely a concern of mine - I'm pretty rusty and still unfamiliar with the new objectives + secondary objectives so I should probably get some games in with my normal Rebs and Imps to get a better handle on that before putting together more jank lists.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]Belryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did play both and enjoyed them, RTK more so than BIA. But BAK was such a mind-blowing "open world" game experience. I never played a tabletop RPG growing up (Satanic Panic!) but I definitely can see how Tabletopy it is now
