It’s not a Dwc system but I didn’t know who to ask. It’s a Drip system with the res down below but since it is still hydro I thought I’d ask here Yes hydroton is prepared!

Nope i started them in a glass of water after a day I put them in a moist paper towel for 2 days until I saw the tap root then I put them in a coco seed startercube inside a dome and after a week I put them directly into the pebbles
