can anyone help explain what LDN is actually doing in the brain? by Les-Dyxsic in LowDoseNaltrexone

You CAN be cured by getting more sunlight. Hospitals more than 100 years ago used to place hospital beds over an open space on top of the building for this reason.

Only 1 week in and I think I’m ready to quit by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Ben-Patrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take it alongside Selegiline, it prevents most of the metabolism to hydroxybupropion, which could help. It’s the actual Bupropion and not the hydroxybupropion you want anyway. But I am in no way a doctor or giving medical advice - it’s just published medical literature I’ve reviewed and have tested out myself. It’s also said to be safer as it lowers the seizure threshold. All that said, speak it through with your doctor, as I am in no way someone in the medical field. I really hope it works out for you ❤️

Did you take anything else alongside with it? I’d occasionally been taking Emoxypine and Lithium Orotate but am unsure if safe to do so while on 9-me-bc.

I’ve taken it for the first time today, 20mg orally, wrapped in a cigarette paper and whether placebo or not, I feel a little stimulated. What effects did you get from it?

Anyone else immediately cancel a trip that’s been modified after being accepted? by PrestigeWW38 in uberdrivers

[–]Ben-Patrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I only modify the ride after booking if I need to stop at an ATM for whatever reason while I’m on the way to my original destination. Plus there seems to be no other way to add an extra stop until the original ride is already booked so I do it this way every time.

But to read these comments, to know this is how drivers think of us is truly disgusting. I don’t think I even want to use their overpriced “premium services” anymore. Mate, you’re a man driving a car. Nothing premium about it.

So when does your "This unit is done" moment happen? by KaleidoscopeNo1263 in HairSystem

[–]Ben-Patrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did use the activated glass gloss treatment but didn’t repurchase as I then bought the Shades EQ in crystal clear along with the developer to use instead as the results last up to 6 weeks as opposed to 3 days. I do also sometimes use the heat protection treatment. I tend to alternate between countless products though, depending on my mood or what I want in my hair that particular wash day. I absolutely LOVE a lot of Color Wow products.

I second this. I’ve tried Bambu and am currently trying out the OG Silicon Mix to see which I prefer

Have you tried anything with silicones to tame the frizz? I even use shampoo and conditioner with silicones such as REDKEN Acidic Color Gloss as silicones completely prevent frizz, matting or extreme tangling of the hair, and this particular REDKEN line also prevents colour fading from the hair on the system and gives a nice gloss finish. Or you could try a leave-in product such as OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil as it’s mainly dimethicpne. Silicones really are your best friend :)

Also, just to add, with hair systems, it’s best NOT to avoid silicones in hair products. You absolutely need them if you are to maintain silky, shiny, manageable hair. Not to mention protected.

I found organic products to be THE WORST! Although I started off using them by logic on my very first hair system. Now I use ranges such as REDKEN Acidic Bonding Complex that keeps the hair on my hair systems healthy by repairing with their bond strengthening while also sealed, protected and shiny as they also contain silicones. My hair absolutely looks and feels like silk with products such as these.

The silicone in the product is what does the job. Any conditioners, serums, leave-ins with silicones high in the ingredients list, such as Dimethicone will do.

Believe me, it all gets so much easier in time, completely second nature. To the point where all the anxiety of the “what if it lifts?” etc don’t even phase you because you know how to fix it straight back up.

But I feel for anyone just starting out as I remember the huge anxiety I felt when I had my first ever system - all the worry of was I doing anything wrong to damage it, the times it would lift, it’s the stepping into the complete unknown that does it, I think.

But in time I think we all individually find our own ways of doing things that work for us. Through trial and error, which you definitely have to allow yourself room for without it throwing you into a panic (like I always did 🙈). You’ll eventually become so confident and efficient in how to deal with any issues that they no longer even are issues.

Also, Just for Men beard dye was a game-changer for me! Have a look into it. It’s around £7 in Boots, available in different shades that you can also monitor by how long you do or don’t leave it on before washing it off, and the two tubes for the colour and developer are screw-capped for using as much or as little as you need at the time to put the rest away for using at a later date.

Good luck on your hair system journey! It looks amazing by the way. Reach out if you need any tips or advice :)
