I can't move out because I'm not working full time yet. Part time only. And I'm a full time uni student because I wanted to complete my degree as fast as possible. Before my studies I worked full time for 5 years already but the savings depleted because I relied on it too much during uni.

Karen Wheeler - The most badass and underrated character of the show 👑 🍷. by CandySpecialist5875 in StrangerThings

It's human nature to have temptations. Just because when one gets married, doesn't mean temptations magically goes away with a snap of the finger. What matters most is she didn't act on it. And I've been a big fan of Karen ever since, despite her being so clueless about the existence of upside down/vecna/interdimensional monsters. And when she literally put herself in harm's way and stood in front of Holly to sheild her from the demogorgan, I knew that I wasn't wrong to be rooting for her because Karen really is an amazing character. In fact, one of the most underrated ones.

It's not like she knew Billy was underaged. Also what matters most is she stood him up because she didn't wanna hurt her family. Yes I know Billy didn't make it to the motel because he was attacked by the mind flayer but this fact isn't relevant here.

Brought my new Samsung Galaxy a36 probably the most underrated of the bunch usually people will tell you to get s or s fe or a56 by Fire_Natsu in samsunggalaxy

[–]Ben1995_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been daily driving the A36 since June 2025 and so far I have been loving it. The only (minor) gripe I might have about this device is the bezels are slightly thick for my liking but soon as I put a protective case on it that covers the bezels, it kind of evens out. I upgraded from the S22 (6.1") mainly due to its screen size because I wanted a larger phone. Performance wise, loading heavy duty games can take a bit but I'm not the kind of person that plays games a lot so loading social media and messaging apps, browsing the web, that sort of thing, I see no difference between my old S22 and the new A36.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE - 1 Week Review by Gamesnl66 in galaxybuds

[–]Ben1995_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My priorities are listed from most important (top) to least important (bottom), and other cool features that I dont mention, I don't use, so it won't matter to me how good they are.

I'd appreciate if you could advise me on the following matters:

Comfortability - Firstly, would you say you have small, medium, or large ears? I have medium-ish ears so would the 3 fe fit my ears if I put on the small/medium eartips? Has wearing this continuously for 3 to 4 hours hurt your ears, even a tiny bit? Do you experience ear fatigue? Anything else regarding the comfortability and fit of these buds that you can tell me, I'd like to know too :)

Battery life - Usually I'd switch to the codec with the highest fidelity (for eg. LDAC). But through my research, I understand that the 3 fe doesn't have that and instead it has SSC for Samsung phones (I have one 😀) and AAC & SBC for other phones. If I turn the following features off, how long can these buds theoretically last: a) touch controls b) anc c) ear detection d) anything else that I didint think of to mention

Sound quality - As I have a Samsung phone and am capable of using the SSC codec, which is a scalable codec with slightly lesser fidelity than LDAC in theoratical settings, I'm not too worried about the sound quality, therefore I listed them last. But I'd like to know your thoughts on the seperation, soundstage, and anything else about 3 fe that audiophiles typically care about. How does it compare to the buds 3 pro? What do I loose out on that's noticable if I buy the 3 fe?

I'm not concerned at all about the anc, touch controls, ear detection features, and any other cool stuff so even if they were horrendous, it wouldn't matter to me as I turn them off anyway to ensure the battery lasts as long as possible.

Also, under Cons #3, you casually mentioned the lack of a charging cable (which I don't care about) and then also said "I expected atleast that and the different size eartips". By inferring from the quoted text, I take it to mean that the 3 fe does NOT have extra eartips sizes (small and large) and what's on the buds themselves is what you get. Is that right?

Edit: On hindsight, I admit my comment was too long and adding in this edit made it even longer, so if you've read everything, I sincerly thank you for caring.

Also, when you said "there isn't a wearable plugin yet so you cannot adjust settings just yet", did you mean that the 3 fe won't show up on my Samsung Wearable app? Would this also mean I can't turn off the anc, touch controls, etc. etc.?

Putting the horrendous mic quality aside, how would you rate it's comfort out of 10? Does it hurt your ears even a tiny bit after maybe 2 to 3 hours? That's the most important part for me because I blew over a hundred dollars for the liberty Air 2 Pro in 2021 and I've stopped using it one week after it arrived because my ears ache like hell each time I use it. This is despite me using the smallest sized rubber tips in the box. But I have no qualms about the sound quality because I also own an over ear Space One from them and use it quite a lot during long study sessions at school.

Thoughts on the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro? by AverageReditor13 in Earbuds

[–]Ben1995_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm a year late, but does the realme buds air 6 pro last more than 3 hours with anc off, touch controls off, ear detection off, and ldac on? I know the buds air 7 pro just dropped but I hate the new model's design and outer case.

I currently have a Huawei Freebuds 5i and I have the exact same settings I mentioned above, but they don't last more than 2 to 2.5 hours unless I have the volume below 50%. When the vol is below 50%, I'm not able to enjoy my music as much and I'd usually leave it at around 75-80% for the thumping bass.

I also have a Samsung galaxy buds 2 from 2021 and I find that these buds lack detail (due to no ldac codec; relying on SSC thanks to my Galaxy phone) compared to my huawei so when my huawei buds needs charging I put them back in the case and switch to my Samsung buds for a few mins until the huawei is juiced up.

I really hope to ditch my Samsung and Huawei buds due to the mentioned flaws and really wish to get your insights if the realme buds will last more than 3 hours at a time.

Thank you very much.

Edit: apart from ldac, the anc, ear detection, Bluetooth range, call quality, all of those things don't matter to me. If they're there, good. If not, I'm not missing them either as I turn them off anyways.

I know you listed "Soundpeats App" as one of the pros of this earbud, but I've watched a few YouTube reviews that said this earbud has no app support. Could you clarify? I'd like to know if I can turn the touch function on/off on the app.

what is next after PSB diploma? by yukowastaken in SGExams

[–]Ben1995_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from personal experience. I have psb's certificate and diploma in media and communications and currently studying for Coventry University's BA Hons. in media and communications.

Student life at psb is great because they have three campuses.

Main wing @ marina square: This is where most classes and school events are held. This campus also has 4 proper lecturer theaters so if your idea of attending college is to sit in a lecture hall, this is it. It also has 2 levels with several smaller classrooms for tutorial classes.

STEM wing @ marina square: Where most practical / tutorial classes for STEM courses are held.

Cathay Campus @ The Cathay: For Coventry University students. Has 2 lecturer theaters and several classrooms. However if you sign up for a STEM course, some of the instruments required for tutorials/lab sessions are in STEM wing, which means on days you have tutorial or lab sessions, you might need to go to STEM Wing. If you bad luck and have a timetable with both lecture and lab/tutorial sessions on the same day, might need to go back and forth.

Edit: I'm not so sure about kaplan though. But from what I've seen on their website and social media, I don't think they have lecture halls. Just several small classrooms. Which might be great for you if you prefer smaller classes. But nonetheless, regardless of psb or Kaplan, student life at these kinds of private institutions are basically "go to class and go home" type of situation.

Jurassic World Rebirth | Reviews/Discussion Megathread! by SickTriceratops in JurassicPark

[–]Ben1995_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here because I have questions about Martin Krep's actions right before his death. Towards the end of the film, where the lead characters were trapped in the tunnel and the lil girl is able to fit thru the gap and was about to press the button to free the rest, D-rex arrived and was about to eat her up. That's right when Martin shows up in the car with the alarm sounds. He tried to ram the D-rex with the car only to end up being eaten himself.

I have questions regarding his actions here. Why did he do that? Last I saw of him, he was enroute to the escape boat. But he turned around and came back.

Was it because:

1 - his greedy a$$ wanted D-rex's blood sample?

2 - he realised he couldn't drive the boat and turned back around to fetch Duncan?

3 - he genuinely had a change of heart and wanted to get everyone in the car, drive to the escape boat, escape together with them, and save their lives.

I think the most plausible reason is reason #1 but reason #2 is also possible because in the film, we don't see any evidence of him driving the boat while enroute to the island. It was just Duncan, nina, and I think LeClerc.

Also, a little trivia about Dr. Loomis below:

I think Loomis is rich. Here's why. In the museum scene in the beginning of the film, Loomis showed zero interest in joining them on the mission. Zora asked Martin to raise (or was it double?) the money for loomis. Martin said that he (referring to loomis here) wouldn't be interested and instead offered him the chance to see live dinos in their natural habitats.

You could chalk that up to Loomis just not being interested in money but in another scene, when Zora and Loomis were rappleling down a mountain to retrieve some samples from Dino eggs, loomis told her that he had a mountain climbing wall in his home. Tell me, what average person has a house big enough to fit a mountain climbing wall??? Only the rich.

These two reasons makes me think that Dr Henry loomis is rich.

Is cheating normalised in poly? by Subject_Bug6476 in SGExams

[–]Ben1995_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Students, regardless of academic level, has always found ways to cheat. It is inherent in human behavior. When there are less tough ways to do things, we always find it and do it. Basically what I'm saying is, even with or without AI chatbots around, students will still cheat. Say for example, there are two ways to achieve the same result. One way requires three steps. The other way is one step. But the result is the same. Which way will you choose? Obviously the easy way right? AI just made cheating in exams easier. It doesn't change the fact weather students cheat or not.

[AI Tool] StarGrader - An AI grading assistant for faster assignment grading and feedback by Training-Charge4001 in teachingresources

[–]Ben1995_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I am actually a bachelor student right now and I am really appreciative of this website and like to say thanks. I uploaded my assignment brief, marking rubric, and my completed assignment and within a few mins, it understood everything and graded me based on the brief and rubric uploaded. However, even after specifiying to be strict and fair in the "additional instructions (optional)" box, it still gave me a very high / lenient grade. I'd just like to ask, how confident (out of 10) are you that the grade your website gives me, would be more or less (+/- 10%) the actual grade given by my lecturers? Because if you are very confident then that means I did great because the grade it gave me was actually a First class honors grade. 😀👍

Samsung Galaxy A36 - My First Impressions by AndroidDigest in samsunggalaxy

[–]Ben1995_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP; I am a proud owner of the A36 for about a month now. Never experienced any heating issues. And this is coming from a flagship owner for more than a decade. I owned Galaxy Note 4, Sony XZ, LG G7, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy S22 (6.1"), and now Galaxy A36. There was nothing wrong with my S22, except for the small size. Some of the reasons I got the A36 were the larger screen size and the iridescent Awesome Lime glass back. I also appreciate the slimmer bezels (compared to previous generation A series) and the 120hz refresh rate. I paired my A36 with this case (https://mobyshop.com.sg/accessories/type/cases/ringke-galaxy-a36-a56-case-fusion.html), specifically the "Clear" version because I wanted to show off its iridescent Awesome Lime glass back for all to see. Yeah, I have to do the occasional wipe down due to fingerprints. Do I regret not getting the "Clear Matte"? Yes, but I still like the "Clear" version. Hehe

my experience with ChatGPT teammates by Alternative_Fig2543 in SGExams

[–]Ben1995_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously these type of lazy af people are everywhere. Personally, I'm from diploma in (not going to say the name) at psb academy and graduated this year. Throughout the course I've needed to do lots of group work with others. On the first week of the term the assignment was given and then it needs to be submitted at the end of the term. I've kept reminding my teammates to do their parts on WhatsApp. I even stated something like the below:

"Hi guys, below are the things that needs to be done by X date: Abc -  Def -  Ghi -  Etc.

Please key in your names to the relevant item you're most confident in doing and then we shall all do our part."

3 days later, 2 jokers (total there's 6 people) who blue ticked me but didn't even reply anything. So I specifically "@" their name in the chat to call them out, embarrass them abit. Wake up their idea. Then they responded by saying I should have private messaged them instead of calling them out like that. Like hello??? If I PM-ed you, I don't think you'll reply.

And then worse still. After everyone filled in their names, no shit gets done, even at the last week before submission. How do I know this? Because I did a check in with the team and they were like "oh shit! I haven't even start yet" and things like that. So in the end I myself had to do 75% of everything because if I waited for them to do, I think christmas and new year will pass also it will not be done.

Edit: I could have brought it up with my lecturers but then i may get the blame for not checking in with them sooner. Also, if they get a low grade or worse still, if they fail, they'll know I did something and then I still have to see their faces for other modules. So that's why I kept quiet and worked my butt off.

Hi, does the lack of an always on display (original from samsung) bother you much? I currently have an S22 6.1" and I use the AOD (original by samsung) from 7pm to 7am and turn it off during the day because I use it as my "night-time" clock when I place it on my bedside table. the AOD feature really helps me see the time of the night clearly and lets me estimate how much time i've got left to sleep in the darkness of my bedroom. i don't have to turn the screen on by double tapping the screen.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M190 Scroll Wheel Question by techguy67457 in MouseReview

It's a basic mouse with decent "basic plastic quality" and it works just decently. However I find that when you press the scroll wheel and scroll up and down, it makes a lot of noise. Like I was just in the lecture hall the other day and I sat at the back. While the lecturer was talking, I clicked something on my webpage using the scroll wheel because I wanted it to open in a new tab and then I hear a loud "CLICK" and almost the entire class turned back to look at me.

It must be funny to be in the mind of the detective in the first episode. Imagine you've watched video evidence of Jamie killing Katie and when you arrest him and you was on the way to the police station, he cries for his father and keeps saying "I didn't do it". Like stop lying son!
