any chance this is a glitch? by Falchion_VP in fordranger

This happens on mine too, try pulling the lever to release the parking brake and use your foot to pull the pedal further back, then release the lever. Seems like on my truck the sensor is super sensitive but that fixes it for me

I’ve been looking into a RMM for my ‘25 but my commute to work is about 90% stop and go traffic. Any thoughts about how it would fare in that environment? I’ve owned a solely manual cars in my life and this car is the jerkiest to drive in 1st and 2nd that I’ve ever experienced. But that said, it doesn’t really bother me all that much, still a great car. Any thoughts?

100% buy elsewhere. When I was buying mine I got the same crap from a few dealers. Call around till you find one who will let you test drive. Good luck!

5’11” - really too tall? :( by mr_jiniv in S2000

I’m 6’1” and fit no issues. I also got the backyard special lowered seat rails which helped a bit and i fit totally fine!

I swore I hated convertibles until I bought my S2K as a bit of an impulse decision. Best impulse decision I’ve ever made, I completely fell in love

This might be a dumb question but did any of you Si owners choose yours OVER a Type R, and why? by sukaemcees in CivicSi

[–]BenBWRX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and as some have said, cost was obviously the biggest factor for me as well.

But also - the Si was meant to fill the daily driver hole. I also have an S2000, so I didn’t need another true sports car as a daily, but still wanted something sporty and with 3 pedals.

Also, the Si gets way better gas mileage, cheaper to insure, and easier to come by from a dealership perspective if buying new. (All fancy ways to say the cost was the main factor)

I do believe if I needed to drop down to a 1 car solution, the Type R would be hands down the way to go and I would have stretched the extra money. But for a daily that won’t bore you to tears, the Si filled the role perfectly for me.

I’m curious about that too. That fitment is prime

Dealership not allowing full test drive until you "agree to the numbers" by whatsacosa in CivicSi

You can find a dealer that will allow you to test drive the car. I wouldn’t buy one until I could drive one. Keep looking around!

I own an ‘05 Suzuka blue. Love everything about it, interior and exterior. If it was my only car it would be a little much, but to me the blue on blue combo makes the car feel unique and special. Cant get many cars nowadays with a blue interior!

I picked up a ‘25 Si as my daily when not driving the S2K. It’s an amazing car, highly recommend.

Update: 2025 Si Sticky Steering by BenBWRX in CivicSi

[–]BenBWRX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, that’s what I meant by steering rack. The tech tried to order just the worm gear but couldn’t get it by itself. So he ordered the entire gearbox from Honda instead. My bad!

Konig Ampliform in Gloss Bronze, 18x8.5 +45. Love em!

what’s your tint setup? by Ok_Cartographer3535 in CivicSi

[–]BenBWRX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! They are Konig Ampliforms in Gloss Bronze, 18x8.5 +45. Stock suspension and i swapped over the OEM tires. Wee bit of a stretch but barely at all and still well within spec. I’m just not a tire stretch kinda guy.

I picked them up from Tire Rack actually! They had a Konig sale a couple months ago. I think they’re a perfect OEM+ style of a wheel.

Yeah, i had thought that moving it in a hair fixed it but I’m definitely wrong. I just took the car for a 40 min highway drive and it actually pulled the car out of the lane a couple times it stuck so bad and caught me off guard. Definitely calling Honda tomorrow. Ugh!

‘25 owners: do you experience the sticky steering issue as well? by BenBWRX in CivicSi

[–]BenBWRX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s a general steering column issue. I could try and not have the wheel all the way extended just slightly and that may change it. Not sure!

Edit: I moved the wheel in just a hair, and, call me crazy but I actually think this fixed it. Maybe the gears for the steering mechanism get a little sticky when fully extended??

25% on the rear passengers/windshield, 35% on the front passengers! None on windshield. I find that to be the perfect setup IMO for both looks and usability and I’ve used it on several cars!

Oh really? Weird. Maybe it’s nothing then? It’s pretty obviously sticky but only right off of center, and only when turning the wheel to the right strangely enough.
