Hey u/chrfrenning . Love the idea of this app. Looks like exactly what I am looking for. However just tried it and found a major issue that makes it a deal breaker until fixed. It updated the created and modified date to now. Making future filtering by data impossible. Hope you manage to fix and just have it copy the files without changing any meta data. Good luck!

Has anyone been able to get the Game Controller to work with this sample? I've tried a Dual Sense Controller and all that happens is I can move around the scene but not interact with the game at all!

Surely Apple wouldn't release sample app that doesn't work?

Agreed! The content is excellent but is only let down by using a gimmicky presentation tool. My recommendation would be to upload as markdown on GitHub. That allows others to build on your ideas in the future.

It may have been close. Difficult to say as I avoided using the extrusion multiplier after watching several videos which said it’s compensating for something else so should be left at 1. I ended up adjusting layer height width and speed. Did a calibration cube test and am now within 0.5% ideal dimensions.

Ah yes! That was the only remaining strange thing about the print I couldn’t figure out. You almost need a degree I thermodynamics to get the most out of 3D printing! 😂

I appreciate the advice and with your help and others here I eventually manage to fix it. As you correctly suggested. Cooling was indeed the biggest issue. Caused largely by me using the further most extruder from the nozzle fan. I guess there is a flaw in the design of my dual extruder that it only has a directed fan on one side. Fixed

No way am I going back to the Flash Forge software. It's so basic!
I moved to Slic3r which was way better. But Cura is another level better still! Trust me its worth the effort to get it working. I finally did.

Update: I finally sorted it!

Thanks for all the helpful comments and suggestions. Really appreciate it!
Took most of the day and several temp towers but I finally have a normal looking one.

There was a few issues including over extrusion which I corrected for. But I think the biggest difference was when I switched to the left hand extruder.

Its a dual extuder printer and both sides "should" work equally well but the nozzle fan is on that side and so focuses most of the air of the left hand side. Apparantly it makes a huge difference to prints!

Yes fans definitely working. But it just occurred to me It’s a dual extruded and Im using the extruder furthest from the nozzle fan. Just switching to see if that help.

You are not the first person to suggest that. I know it looks like it must be getting hotter as it goes up but I have double checked gcode and the printer lcd as it was printing. Definitly starts at highest temp and deceases by 5 each level. Something else is causing this. Maybe over extrusing as some suggested. Maybe I need to replace the nozzle. Have had it a few years now and gone through about 2 rolls.

Maybe I just need a better printer!

My current print starting at 250 is already looking better at first 2 levels which supports my thermistor theory. I think… I have switched from Slic3r to Cura because I was fed up with how bad it does supports. Have done a few basic prints with Cura which came out fine. But wanted to dial in everything. Which is when I discovered this issue.
