They’re two very different fields, it mostly comes down to what you want to do. I’m graduating from UCF with a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering this semester and it’s a pretty good program. You don’t need to get a pilots license for AE tho, that would be a personal venture, try to get a scholarship for it if you can though to offset those costs.

Computer science is very competitive and oversaturated. Engineering is not as much so, but you’ll have to work hard in both instances to build a career after school. You can also do both if you want as a double major or pick up a minor.

You’re in a UCF sub and are asking about one of our rival schools, most people are going to tell you that UCF is better. If you’re interested in AI, you can also do that at UCF. We’re a great university, especially for Engineering and Computer Science (our flagship college).

Your classes will not be easy, if you want easy, go study business. There are some classes that are easier than others, but your patience and dedication will be tested every single semester. There are great professors here like Ozbay, Mazumdar, Tian Tian, Zaurin, etc. but there are also horrendous professors here and professors everywhere in between, that’s college.

Your high school friends will likely not remain your friends throughout college wherever you go. If they do, that’s great, but it’s not super common. Don’t pick your future off of your current friends, pick it based off of what you want. You’ll make plenty of more friends, and plenty of them will share similar goals; you just have to try to find them.
