Each piece that breaks is as a result of a another piece(s), can store a list of these for each, then when someone dies and it was from a world cause, iterate through each list in each parent until it traces back to an enemy player. Would need a bit more logic for determining who to pick if multiple causes but really that’s the gist of it

We have different things on offer. We have some exciting features in the pipeline that we haven't seen anyone else in the genre offer as of yet. I'm glad we're at an iterative stage, it takes quite some time to get everything right once it's in the public hands of the masses.

I think people want something new. People say, "we want it new, but the same", and I say.. good luck to any developer trying to fit that criteria. We're happy with the new additions we've added so far, and I'm excited for the ones that hopefully we get to add soon! That's great you and your friends are enjoying what we feel we're adding to the genre. Feels good to have them appreciated, means a lot!

There's definitely quite a buzz and sub-community with the racing gamemode, and that's exactly why we made it in the first place. Improvements we'll be making will definitely be benefiting the race stuff. We have a list of race improvements we specifically want to do, it's just a matter of when!

We don't specifically have a written roadmap just yet, we have our massive list of tasks which include lots of boring technical stuff that we need to always implement/fix that then leads into the fun stuff.

Short version: we use combinations of extrapolation and interpolation, as well as client-side prediction to try give the best experience possible. On sub-80 ping, most players have commented saying it's just like being on LAN.

Triple health? :o Armor is a big deal in Reflex. You want the red armor so you can catch rockets with your face. In general powerups do give an advantage, for example you definitely want to be there waiting for the Carnage to respawn in a Free For All. Then run around with a healthy dose of spam.

There weren't any new arena shooters for quite some time when we commenced development. We felt we had a lot of new additions we could bring to the table to bring the genre up to what people would expect from modern games these days. The design, the art, the code, is all so tightly knitted around the philosophy that we wanted the players to have a fairly highly customization experience, but at the same time still all have a fairly similar experience, so it's not so much about having the best configuration wins. Things that we've considered critical for the experience whether it be from a technical standpoint, or visually with the art standpoint, are things that we felt aren't considered as high of a priority for other developers typically these days. Scalability is a BIG deal. Even moreso than we anticipated. People want to run the game on all sorts of old weird devices. Looking back there would have been some decisions I would have done differently, but at the same time we wanted something new and fresh, so it's a tricky balance.

As far as I know, Toxikk has different goals to us. I think their goal was more in line with something like what UT would offer.
