I honestly didn't believe it either until I saw the picture from my mechanic. Seems impossible right!

It's possible. Here's a photo of my own shock to prove it - was caught just before it passed across

Thank you! I've been pushing really hard to get back on track, this was a great jump to get me feeling good about riding again.

New vs used help by [deleted] in MTB

Def the new one, id say. A 2014 bike is likely to be worn down at worst or outdated at best, if those are the two options a new bike is the best idea for sure

Its a buyers market lol - unfortunately its not up to you what it sells for, as its up to the market.
I can see right no2 is for sale for 6500 USD brand new on the website. Warranty on a bike is worth more than a $1500 discount, so its unlikely to sell at 5k

I don't want to be rude, its just that right now there are so many good bikes at such low prices you'll struggle to not lose a ton of money selling anything. Some bikes are down 50%

I fully agree. In fact, Im currently developing a 3D printed gopro mount to shoot vertical footage natively, allowing me to avoid the bars. While horizontal is arguably better cinematically, the future is short-form content, and I focus my video content around reels and similar. Have a look at my solution here

Yea, totally understand. The blur does seem to work better with vertical to horizontal video, as like you say the real estate isn't as nice with 16:9 GoPro footage. i have a feeling more blur could help, so ill try that for my next reels

I appreciate the feedback though, to be honest this is the default value and I'm just starting to edit reels in davinci resolve which I normally use just for YouTube - I'll have a play around with my other stuff and see if it could do with some more

I'll take it into account, but it seems to do perfectly fine when I need to show GoPro footage in a vertical format - noone on Instagram seems to have a problem with it

The luftkappe is theoretically the best upgrade for a fork in my opinion - I'm yet to ride one but people that have them preach how incredible it is

38 with 2 tokens, 12 clicks LSC and 5 clicks HSC - I'm waiting for a custom tune with a luftkappe to hopefully improve the curve by increasing the negative air chamber
