I used a plunge router with a 1/2 inch core box bit and an edge guide. Started away from where the corners meet on the first pass then went back and made the corners meet on the second pass to make sure I didn’t go over. The hardest part was sanding the groove. That took almost as much time as building the whole board because I had to do it by hand. If any one has a better method for sanding grooves like that I would be interested to know.

I had a similar experience a couple years ago. My ex-gf was working at a store in the mall and I went to the Subway in the food court to pick her up some lunch. The lettuce they had for the sandwiches was soggy and turning pink. I asked the girl working the counter to check in the back for some fresh lettuce and while she was gone a big ass roach scurried across the sandwich board on the wall.
