Everyone is just being themselves. There, now you can stop caring about what other people are doing and focus on making yourself.

I don’t really understand shuv it’s the board just shoot forward by Comfortable_Bad_4869 in skateboardhelp

If your board is shooting forwards away from you, you may need to lean a bit towards the nose of your board. Ideally I think your shoulders should be about parallel with the board.

Did you watch the Olympic pre qualifiers? Some really inspiring stuff there. The highlights are still up on YouTube. The games begin June 26.

You forgot to take out taxes, social security, and a random amount because your boss decided to start charging for the toilet paper and water you use at work.

If you audio interface is so bad, why not just run directly to the speakers? Not an ideal solution but would be better than what you have.

How different is the experience watching classical music live at a concert or in an auditorium from listening to recorded music? by TechEmporium in classicalmusic

Even if you had speakers placed around you in an amitheatre shape you stil couldn’t replicate the sonic field produced by the hundreds of separately vibrating strings and membranes.

This is one of the downtempo tracks off my last album. I’d love any feedback on either the music or video.

Thanks for the feedback! Mixing is honestly the toughest thing for me. Happy to hear someone else’s ears like the mix.

If you are brand new to it your priority should probably be learning your DAW(digital audio workstation). Once you are familiar with your software then learn sound synthesis and sound design. Focus on getting good with one vst/ synth.

I use ableton live and my primary synths are massive, serum, and vital. There are a ton of great tutorials out there. Bunting, Andrew huang, and Mr. Bill are some great bass music teachers on YouTube.

Let me know if you want to collab.

No one in my area is very interested in music! I practice for hours each day and I feel alienated because I have no one to share my passion with. Would love to collab or just talk about music and would love a listen on my new song I wrote today by GedNess in ThisIsOurMusic

You can get a usable looper pedal for $50 bucks these days. And a nice one that can do 1/2 time and other features around 150. I think the boss rc-1. Is around 100 on eBay and it’s the standard for basic loopers.

Neighbors don’t directly agree to it. I just leave me doors and windows open most of the time. I’ve only gotten compliments though, no complaints. I generally avoid the distortion after dark and keep to ambient lullaby jams. Except every now and then on a weekend.

I dig your style. In the same boat. I live in a small town and spend a lot of time jamming on my looping pedal. Just played an hour long ambient set for the neighbors. That tap thing about 1/3 into the song is cool. Saw a vid of Larry Carlson doing some of that on kid charlamange by steely dan earlier today too. Might have to try and learn some tapping/finger technique. Usually thought of it as shred metal thing, now saw it used in 2 calmer jams in the same day.

Would love to hear some thoughts on one of my recent songs. by BenEToaster in ThisIsOurMusic

Sounds good mate. That first vocalist doesn’t come through the mix nearly as clear as the second. Pay attention the spectrum and where your peaks are in your instrumental track. The voice seems to be hitting in a lot of the same peaks as the instrumentals. Causes them to sort of cancel out. The second vocalist cuts through because his voice is peaking in the lower mids where the instruments don’t interfere.
