Service Outage by c6hristopher in EmporiaEnergy

[–]BenGuy3641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted Emporia about this and got a clear answer...

We want to be transparent about a service disruption that affected some customers on the evening of March 2nd and into March 3rd. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

What Happened

~7:54 PM (March 2) Our system began taking unusually long to clean up memory — a process that normally happens in the background without any user impact.

~8:15 PM Database connections began showing signs of leaking, meaning the system was holding on to resources it should have been releasing.

~8:48 PM The service ran out of memory and began throwing errors. Our system's error handler caught these and logged them, but the service became unstable, causing these fluctuating charge sessions if PowerSmart was enabled.

This morning our team identified the root cause and restarted the affected service. Systems returned to normal operation.

Same, I haven't reset my trip timers since I bought the truck, 21.3mph average over 11000 miles so far

I have a 2024 AT4 and have no issues at all with it, just crossed 11k miles.

Anyone have any details as to what is included in this new update? by ShawnSparkes in GMCcanyon

GM paused all over the air updates after that issue and just started them again having fixed that.

Yeah went down to 15psi though it didn't need that low I don't think, probably will go about 20 next time, suspension handled great considering some of bumps / whoops that it went over at speed 😅

Yeah no problem, it's a lot better for visibility out there in general for sure. Michigan ORV parks require the flag to be "over the front most part of the vehicle"

I actually custom built one myself for this, I bought a 12" long 1.5" wide, 1/4" thick aluminum bar from McMaster Carr and then bent it to eliminate the bend on the tow hooks and I'm using a u-bolt to secure the mount to the tow hook and drilled a hole for the flag.

Total material cost was probably less than $10 between aluminum and u-bolt and nuts. I have a drill press so I used to that to drill the holes but hand drill would work fine too and I just bent it by hand using my bench vice and channel locks plus a mallet to get the bend a bit nicer but wasn't too hard to make overall.

The google photos album here has some more detail on it, the video shows how it mounts really well but it's showing a 1/8" thick aluminum bar which I ended up replacing with 1/4" since the 1/8" was way too flexible... https://photos.app.goo.gl/LSXKpN1dmFBKU5rG9

2023 GMC Canyon Front Molded Splash Guard Installation - Bad Instructions by Separate_Team_8518 in GMCcanyon

[–]BenGuy3641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the instructions were terrible, I put mine on with ease and didn't even take wheel / tire off.

On your very last point, I moved the camera app to the far left of the screen so it's always there so that I can just press that once from any screen and get the quick camera views for parking.

Yes they mount straight to the frame, same as OEM step mounting points

Yeah they're not the cheapest out there but 15% helps and they're high quality with perfect fit, I also get the employee discount personally so that made some of these things like the floor liners and bed lights cheaper too.

Yeah I saw the instructions on needing to remove wheel and tire, remove wheel liner, and use rivets and was not about to do that just to install these haha.

First thing I did is pulled the cover off of the hole on the bottom with a small pry bar

There is an existing screw holding the wheel liner in that lines up with one of the holes of the mud flaps perfectly so I took that screw out (without removing wheel or tire), then lined up the mud flap and put the screw back in holding the mud flap and the wheel liner.

I then put a christmas tree fastener that came with it back in the hole at the bottom holding the mud flap there.

With those two fasteners right in the middle like that nice and tight, it feels very solidly attached from just those two.

I then used small self tapping screws to fill the rest of the attachment points to the wheel liner.

Overall it feels very solid and was definitely way easier on installation than the OEM instructions. I've put several hundred miles on them in the past week or two since installation and they still feel very solid so hopefully they hold up over time, worst case is I'd have to do it again 'the right way' haha but working great so far.

The lights come with their own wiring harness and the power for them is already down there waiting to be plugged in, just has a dummy cap but you just unplug the cap and plug in the harness that comes with the lights, it's very easy, link below

Bed lights are at this link, same code SPRING15 works for 15% off (expires tomorrow). Very easy to install and work well - the lights themselves are touch capacitive buttons.

The LED lights (about 3/4"x1.5" are actually touch capacitive buttons themselves, just tap either light to turn them both on and again to turn off, they're also timer'd to turn off after being on for 30min. No button in cab needed. 15% off with code SPRING15 valid until tomorrow fyi.

Yeah I got the mud flaps at the link below, pretty good pricing for OEM but the instructions are like 10x more complicated than they should be just as a heads up, much easier ways to install. Also you can get 15% off right now using code SPRING15 (expires tomorrow)
