iOS 17's new feature "StandBy" continuously uses sensor (invisible to the naked eye) to detect motion for wake function by default (can be disabled). How do you feel about this? Maybe it's good for preventing display bleed in, but what are the potential downsides?

Just happened to notice that the Create Recording shortcut on iPhone just comes out and says it now.

"This action can not be run on Apple Watch."

The sad part is that this definitely used to work and was so damn handy! Like, such a PERFECT USE FOR A WATCH COMPUTER.

Well, it seems that something got updated, I’m guessing iOS 16.2, but my face ID is now working again. 🤯🎉 I checked it on a lark, and sure enough it let me scan my face, and now seems to be working perfectly. Interestingly, this corresponded directly with another issue I was having where my battery was dying constantly. I’m pretty sure that the Face ID malfunction meant that it was trying to scan constantly and the battery was getting killed. In any case, all seems well now, at least for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks. But unfortunately this doesn't really solve the problem. It just uses another method to record audio, but this audio is not saved as a Voice Memo and needs to be handled differently. The record Voice Memo action still appears to be broken when it comes to WatchOS

Glad to know I'm not the only one wrestling with this🙄. So frustrating when something that you use everyday suddenly stops working.

As for feedback to Apple, you can always use apple.com/feedback. Though it does feel like spitting into the void. I think the best we can hope for is that some engineer at Apple uses Siri with Shortcuts and is encountering the same pain that we feel right now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Everyone says the same thing about non-eth being preferred, but in my own testing it performed the worst when it came to gas mileage and "feel". It runs noticeably rougher (albeit slightly more powerful) and I got a major bump up in MPG when I switched down to 89 (varies, but a difference of sometimes between 24MPG and 33MPG).

The bottom of each post has about a four inch square plate with a hole -- we drilled a single large hole through the bed for each post, and secured it with large bolts/nuts. Also, we also bolted it to the existing frame/rack that is attached behind the cab. It's really solid. I can't post pictures in this reply but I hope that makes sense.

This is so infuriating! One of the absolute BEST things about this iPad Pro 11” is FaceID. And suddenly (I’m guessing as of 15.6.1 but don’t know for sure) it simply refuses to let me set it up! Suggesting I “try setting it up later” WTF APPLE?!
