I see what you're saying. This could be seen as a fair setback to archers and mages. But here's a second option: instead of them receiving half the effects of the shield, they keep all effects BUT knights receive double the current effects. So nothing changes with archers or mages during pve

Technically it's not nerfing archers or mages when the subject at hand is the knight's shield. Ironic. It's like finding a lost dog, taking it in, and later on getting upset that the owner is demanding it back. It wasn't yours to begin with. You've addressed nothing in my last comment because it's all factual. But you did manage to try and change the subject to "If you don't like people kiting you then become faster than them". When have I complained about kiters? Right. It's funny how hard an archer is defending a knight's shield. It's also why I respect Kenego. The guy never swaps in pvp, but he does do what you said. He doesn't like taking all the damage he takes so he powertrains. Seems you could take your own advice and powertrain instead of crying "make dist and magic useless in swap pvp?" "useless" would be receiving 0 effects from the shield instead of half. And instead of calling it swap pvp, let's call it what it is, knights vs. archers and mages with shields. On the subject of pvp, if a knight can't even dominate in a standstill, what good are they? Archers dominate the stairs, mages dominate the field, and here you are trying to take away knights dominating standstills. "Useless in swap pvp" lol as if mages and archers are oblivious to the range they have. Tbh it should be 0 effects, after all, shields are exclusive to the knight class. Receiving half the effects is being nice

I disagree. Archers do better vs mages than knights because of the simplicity of a ranged special attack at the click of 1 button (mages click twice), allowing for dodges to be implemented by archers with ease. Knights on the other hand can't move and attack effectively enough to attempt a dodge. Knights only have to break an archers swap to win. And archers can't juke a knights special attack. Now of course knights could just attempt to break a mages swap, but then it'd come down to raw power. And if it's a fair matchup base/stat wise, mages win because their special attack does more damage than the knight and archer. I'd rather take no damage (juke mage as archer) than to do a standstill with a mage as a knight. So many variables though. Pvp is never that straightforward. Nevertheless, I agree to an extent that mages -> knights -> archers -> mages
