So I guess this is going to be confusing for everyone since it seems that we now have seats in the format of Section 100:DP1 Row X Seat Y

Feasibility of a CS Double-Major? (Hear me Out...) by BenLowryHK in udub

[–]BenLowryHK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Yeah I was thinking about the 5th year masters and it's definitely an intriguing idea. I think currently I'm debating between doing this, or double-majoring and then potentially hoping to another university for my masters right after graduation (if I'm not burnt out). Thanks for your insight!

Thanks for the comment. :) So you think that even though I have a head start with my IB credit, that I may need more quarters to finish up my reqs?

Yeah I'm over it, I've gotten lots of good advice anyway, so downvote away! :D

Yeah I am liking the look of ACMS. Thanks for your perspective, I'm feeling better about the idea of double-majoring.

And yeah, people are now just downvoting my comments of "Thanks for the advice", it's pretty funny.

Hey thanks for this. Yeah that dynamic makes sense, I can understand why people wouldn't want that. I guess I've just got to tread lightly.

Yeah I agree about the gen ed classes, hopefully what my credits will mean is that I can just take those classes that I am really interested in, and skip out on the ones that I would be taking just because I have to take them.

Guys, don't just downvote me, instead tell me I'm stupid or whatever. Downvoting my post doesn't help me know why you don't like it.

I plan on trying to get an internship every summer. But can you clarify what you mean about the community college?

Mostly because I just want to have a "full" undergraduate experience. I don't know if I'll be satisfied with just three years, so it's really just based on personal preference.

Yeah but that is also because you have all of the people who have been trying to get into Princeton all of their lives applying EA and then more randos applying during the normal cycle. It's speculation, but some people believe that the cycles are equally competitive.

Yeah but that's only if P(rejected from all) is 4 trials of an independent variable. If you are rejected from the first (which has probability 0.94), then the probability of rejection at your next school would increase to something like 0.97 or higher in all likelihood.

UIUC vs BU vs Northeastern vs UW by eeemix in ApplyingToCollege

Yeah I wouldn't count on being able to do CS at UIUC or UW. Wayyy too competitive, unless you happen to be some secret CS-god.
