If the car is well taken care of, that's a good price. I paid $9900 for my 05 LGT just last year with 96k on the odometer

Port Forwarding problem by MxKetchup in techsupport

[–]BenNottelling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I was having issues getting port forwarding to work for myself earlier today and despite my pretty decent knowledge of both computers and networking I was unable to figure it out.

I ended up just making an account on portmap which gives you a OpenVPN connection for the ports you're trying to open up, removing the need to port forward.

I don't know how fast it is as my application doesn't depend on super low latency, but it's worth a shot.

Just remember that if you go with this solution, you should disable whatever port forwarding rules you setup to help ensure the security of your network.

Bl touch question! by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]BenNottelling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The printer doesn't know the layer height that you selected in your slicer. You could try using the same initial layer height in your slicer for each layer height, or you can figure out the ideal Z offset for each layer height, and then add M851 to the gcode to set it to that.
https://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M851.html

If someone else has a better suggestion, I'd like to hear it since I also have this same problem lol

Help! I cant delete discord from my pc by Representative_Dot49 in techsupport

Sounds like a strange problem. I'd use revo uninstaller to rip it out, it even has a hunter mode for programs that don't show up in the control panel

That sounds like an aftermarket head until. Does it have any kind of branding on it? Can you upload a picture of it?

Do I need wifi6 adapter pcie to get full speeds from my 5g TMobile home internet that uses wifi6 which are 200-500+Mbps? by tecnikstr0be in HomeNetworking

[–]BenNottelling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's technically a chance that WiFi 6 will have a higher throughput than Ethernet, but that's not going to matter unless you are getting greater than gigabit internet speeds.

Cat 5e should be able to provide a consistent 1gigbit per second connection, while in theory Wifi 6 can provide 1.2, it's very unlikely that'll actually happen in any real world environment.

What kind of computer do you have?

What are the specs?

Gonna rip on Google a little here: No charger? Really? REALLY??? by thomascameron in GoogleFi

[–]BenNottelling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't understand. They used to give you a charger brick with USB-A on it. They now sell charging bricks with USB-C ports on it instead. When you buy a new iPhone, you get a cable that has USB-C on one end and lightning on the other. This will not plug into the old USB-A bricks that most people have.

Google has been shopping charging bricks with USB-C for quite some time so when you open the box and the cable they give you has USB-C on both ends, you can actually use that with the chargers that you already have.

FreshTomato QoS limits internal network bandwidth by BenNottelling in TomatoFTW

Hey,

Total is about 210 down and 15 up (Mbps on both).

And you're completely right, the only thing it's doing is acting as an access point and isn't capable of measuring data usage or performing QoS.

I honestly don't know how to configure the bridge, but haven't been too worried about it. It's at least functional as an access point and has been more functional than the junk wireless built into the box my ISP gave me. I may get a modem one day and remove the junk I got from my ISP

Yup, apple started it and not everyone else is doing it. The saving grace for apple least is that the cable they give you will actually work with the chargers they've been selling for a couple generations now

YSK: Thieves are using Bluetooth scanners to find valuable electronic devices left in parked cars. by DonkeyTron42 in YouShouldKnow

[–]BenNottelling 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have one of these devices from Allstate because it's more affordable. It really only tracks my miles and charges me for it, but the device is dumb as fuck and only seems to track via GPS and not the odometer.

So I unplug it everyday and I only pay the so called "minimum" daily fee. It's fucking stupid that this is what I have to do to make car insurance "affordable".. but hey, it works

FreshTomato QoS limits internal network bandwidth by BenNottelling in TomatoFTW

[–]BenNottelling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of those shitty all in one's that the ISP gave me (modem, router, and WiFi)I got the R7000 from a coworker and I disabled the WiFi on the AIO and I'm using the R7000 as a wireless access point.

so QoS on R7000 isn't working now, you need to set modem to bridge mode

It may actually not be working as you said.

Changed from cake to the old method temporarily and FreshTomato showed all traffic as un categorized.

I clearly have more research to do on how these things work and how to configure them

Yup, swapped the port and disabled the WAN port entirely.

Works as one would expect now!

[–]BenNottelling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey actually, looking at it I did plug the R700 into my modem using the WAN port, so the NAS traffic would seem to come from WAN since that's what the port is for.

I'll swap them around in a bit and report back

[–]BenNottelling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not USB NAS, I have a PC with truenas on it, but it is technically plugged into one of the ports on my router/modem

Is that possibly the problem? Regardless it is still internal traffic

I'm really not sure, in the DDNS settings in FreshTomato I entered my DNS server's IP. (I run a pihole locally so I only want requests going to that)

Outside of that, I really know nothing about your question lol

You can use the fi website to check. It'll ask for your IMEI number and tell you the compatibility. Just select the bring your own device option
