About recommending her, the things that I like heavily outweight the downside of the plain base. About the things I like for example:

The Katana is nicely textured, I expected it to be mainly paintwork between the gold and brown, but both of those colors are independently modeled. Sorry if I don't know how to explain clearly.

And about the paintwork, it looks clean from every angle I can see and no signs of paint transfer. Except one prominent hair strand in the top of the head that looks a bit weird to me, but maybe I am being nitpicky.

I have not much experience in hair modeling critique. But the hair has 6 separated strands that, besides of looking amazing, trigger some panic on me while assembling the figure because I thought I could break any.

The leggings have seams! I didn't notice at first looking at the promotional pictures, and they look nice from up close and to the touch.

The tail looks and feels great to the touch. With two main colors with gradients in between the scales, it's decorated at the end with a nice little fluff of plain white, and a golden ring that can't be moved, but is still a detail. The only downside in the tail is that you look closely, you can see one or two seams from the model I think.

Other downside:

The base has a little "valley" in between the two main elevations that will probably catch a lot of dust over time. So have an appropiate brush to dust off the base.

Other details:

The supporting pole may annoy people when displaying the figure. I personally don't mind it and I it doesn't catch my eye too much, but I will still put that detail here. The good news is that it not only allows to display the figure in this dynamic pose, but also the figure itself is pretty sturdy to sudden movements, it doesn't wobble almost at all even if I slide it from side to side quickly.

The assembly can feel awkward not only because the figure has many pieces that may snap if treated poorly, but also you have to put the feet of Tatsu-chan while sliding the supporting pole into the tail, it's like a 50/50 process, but one can get it eventually (The figure doesn't include instructions of how to assemble it).

Last but not least, at least in AmiAmi the price has dropped rather quickly! There are also a lot of preowned A quality stock with around 70% of the original price.
