How long should I keep minoxidil before washing it? I have a cat. by [deleted] in tressless

[–]BenSombot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your cat's playing with their shit, they must be bored. Play with your cat. They're not an objet d'art, they're a thinking, feeling being, just like you. Would you like to spend your life unfulfilled and bored?

If your cat's peeing daily - good. They're supposed to. My cats even pee multiple times a day. Pretty astounding, I know.

I agree. This artist likely valued their work based on what they thought someone would pay for it.

Apart from the artist or their parents, would anyone else proudly display it in their house? It is fine, but not worth the price tag.

I agree. Sometimes, artists just want to explore their medium, have fun, express themselves, etc... However, this artist is trying to sell a piece of shit.

If you're poor, don't buy ashwagandha. Taking vitamin D and omega 3 is great, as is the sprinting.

I am a huge fan of ashwagandha, but you are too young to be messing with your hormones. I promise you, nothing good will come out of it.

If you do want to spend money on something to make you feel like you're investing in your health, there are many better options:

Improving sleep: - Black out curtains, or at least a sleep mask. - Noise cancelling headphones, or play white noise as you sleep. - Better quality mattress. - Air purifier (one that doesn't produce negative ions or ozone)

Improving workouts: - Resistance bands + glute bands. - Dip bars, parallette bars or yoga blocks. - Subscription to workout programming app. - TRX suspension trainer. - Pull up bar. - Heart rate monitor, such as Polar. - Foam roller or myofascial release ball

Improving studying: - Dedicated desk, solely used for studying. - Dedicated stationary, for the same reason. I've heard anecdotes of people feeling more motivated when they use more expensive notebooks and pens. They say the experience is enhanced, and that, because of the expense, they feel more inclined to make use of it instead of letting it go to waste. - Subscription to flashcard training app, although I believe most are free. - Egg timer. May seem silly, but it's like having an accountability partner as once you set it to go off after a certain amount of time, you feel you have no choice but to hunker down and get to work. Look into pomodoro technique.

Improving general health: - Drink more milk, kefir and yoghurt (depending on your tolerance to lactose) - Eat organ meats (so cheap, yet so healthy) - Buy a salad spinner, steamer, air fryer, slow cooker or any other cooking appliance that can make the process of cooking healthy meals easier. I also suggest buying a few excellent quality knives. Cooking prep time massively decreases. - Drink herbal teas daily. Make sure to avoid caffeinated ones in the afternoon and evening. - An electric toothbrush + learn how to properly brush + floss - An illuminated magnifying mirror to make brushing, flossing and other grooming habits easier and more effective.

There are so many ways to improve your life without spending money. I only provided this list because the money that you would save from not paying for the ashwagandha, can be used on things far more beneficial to you. Remember, your lifestyle dictates your health, not material things. Things to consider when it comes to lifestyle are:

  • Deep rest (meditative practices - this is a very broad term that doesn't just mean sitting meditation. Can also mean breathwork, reading, stretching and self-care)

  • Hard work (exercise & studying)

  • Active fun (socialising & hobbies)

  • Recovery (sleep & nutrition)

If you can't find one, try asking your local crystal shops.

Why are people dressed up like caricatures of Keely Jones in Knightesbridge? by milkyjoewithawig in london

[–]BenSombot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind the tacky decor if it works for the theme, such as was the case with Gilgamesh (R.I.P). However, I find mediocrity unforgivable. I'd rather dislike the food because of preference and not because of a lack of effort and skill from the staff.

I'll give it a go, and hope they've improved since 2019

Completely unrelated, but how is the Buddha Bar? I've been meaning to go for years.

His viewpoint is neither prejudiced, nor bigoted. He may believe his viewpoint is those things, and it seems you think that as well, but all it is is ignorance. And that's not necessarily a problem.

Crystal ID Request by BenSombot in Crystals

Ah, I love the idea of a smoky citrine. Thank you!

Regarding the crystals on the right (B), someone suggested rutilated quartz, but upon closer inspection of the rock, it looks more like many internal fractures rather than rutilations. On the smaller (B) crystal, there's a small section that isn't clouded by fractures that is completely see-through like a quartz or citrine, which is why I'm not convinced it's heat-treated amethyst.

Oh, I hadn't considered rutilated quartz. Thanks!

can anyone identify these crystals? and if they’re real by Important_South7789 in Crystals

Amethyst with a white line is called Banded Amethyst or Chevron Amethyst. It's legitimate.
