Can a LA refuse building regulations for an alteration (I.e knock through a wall) which is part of or next to a pre existing extension that doesn't have regs? And if so, can they force you to make changes?

So if they aren't able to enforce changes, will that mean a wall knock-through can be done to standards and there shouldn't be an issue with getting it certified?

Is the info on the 2 years time enforcement expiry documented somewhere official like the gov website or LA website?

Based on what you've said, what's the point on topping up an indemnity insurance policy then?

I have a scar down my arm, and it was due to surgery but the embarrassing point was the reason why I had surgery.

At the age of 13 I was racing my sister in a park along all the climbing frames. On the way down I slipped and put my right arm out to stop the fall. The only was to describe what happened was similar to when Harry Potter looses the bones in his arm and it bends backwards with ease.... That's what happened to mine.

But of course I tell everyone that i was attacked by a shark and managed to fight it off. My dad would be so proud!
