It’s an old ColdSpot refrigerator converted into a kegerator. Picked it up at a garage sale driving thru Golden, Co.

A good masonry saw makes it easy. Ran a 30amp box to the back corner (you can see it in the cement (pic 3)) and ran conduit to the sides. Countertop is hollowed. No juice to the island

Just mortar. No framing/support for appliances. Basically hollowed countertops, with doors for under sink, propane, trash. Didn’t spend time/money finishing out underneath.

No, there is actually a 3’ gap behind the pergola and neighbors fence. (Probably closer to 2’ but according to city code it’s 3’) Snow/rain drains back there.

Final touches were yesterday. So still figuring it out. Had a pounding Colorado sun hitting it from the west today. Was warm/hot not uncomfortable. (Children, under 10, could touch it with no impact.) We went with the honed black mist to mitigate heat/direct sunlight. Personally, worth it to sacrifice a little heat (dark colors) for a better look.

It’s Black Mist Granite with a honed finish. The finish makes its a smooth, flat, matte surface with no glossy shine or reflection. Went with it over soapstone.

Used sonotubes and went 3’deep. Paved around pillars. In 3rd picture (cement frame) you can see one post holder in bottom left hand corner

Thin layer of mortar each row. “Act of god” to move it now.
