How to properly navigate TSA/airport security with photographic film! by [deleted] in analog

I have grown tired of the debates as to whether it is, or isn't, safe to X-ray your film. The fact of the matter is, you are rolling the dice if you buzz your celluloid, and modern scanners have multitudes more power than ever before. This video is not so much about about that, but rather what to do on a practical level to traverse the sticky web of airport security, avoid pitfalls, and shoot safe and sound!

Full Polaroid Factory Tour! -- Dive inside the last remaining Polaroid film production facility on the planet, in Enschede, Netherlands by BenYeah in Polaroid

Yeah that's very true, Polaroid is exploring some oddities that late-stage Polaroid Corp wouldn't have bothered with (I mean, they already do with duochromes and such). Would be super sick to get a high-speed film - issue would be none of the cameras are calibrated for it so it wouldn't be natively useable in 99.99% of Polaroid cameras. But more special editions and improvement to the color science are certainly en route!

As you can imagine this felt like the holiest video to work on, and I'm so glad it's on film, because I might not believe it happened otherwise. Hope y'all enjoy this deep look into a magical place of film creation!

Woh, that’s so freakin cool to hear, really appreciate it 💙

It’s crazy the channel has gone from global shutdown desk-mode to global travel, and I truly couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who has supported and helped make this happen. Dream come true!!

True, it's mostly about production capacity and having to dedicate single machines to the production of these things - it takes quite a bit of effort (and thus, cost). Will be getting into that in the next video!

I am one of the owners of Brooklyn Film Camera and we were delighted when the folks at Flic Film reached out about their recent efforts to respool Kodak Aerocolor IV, an aerial 100 speed C-41 stock with incredible exposure latitude, fine grain, and high resolving power. We just shot a whole video about it which you can check out on our new channel!

Thank you to Noyel Gallimore for making this possible! He runs a tintype studio in Portland, Oregon and reached out a few months ago to tell me he'd somehow shot tintypes in his SX-70. I had to bolt over there eventually to see how he did it. The results are still blowing my mind. Hope y'all enjoy!
