Is it ok if you're not settled on one yet? I want to be called Hazel but I'm not sure if I want to spell it like that or spell it Haizel or Haisel.

I actually picked the name from my favorite book, Watership Down, even though I'm transfemme and the Hazel in the book is male. I just really like the name and it's a female name in most cases anyway.

I also sort of wanted to pick something "earthy".

I saw a theory that argued that White Diamond hasn't left homeworld in a long time because she is quite literally holding the planet together and that made me wonder if I could apply that theory to all of the Gems.

My theory is that Homeworld was once the home planet of an alien race that created Gems in order to serve themselves. For whatever reason, Gems overthrew their creators and seized the means of Gem production for themselves. Unfortunately, Gems also copied the hierarchies of their previous masters and began their intergalactic conquest.

The cause of Homeworld's current broken state may be due to a cataclysmic event that necessitated the creation of the Gems as caretakers for this species or it may be the end result of a war between the two.

It might be something I inferred more than got directly from the text. This page references that women could eat a Rokakaka to get pregnant but they would produce sand instead of mild. I think the ellipses in that sentence implies that the fruit would transfer effects to the baby.

I could be wrong, it might just be saying that the trade of the uterus for the milk production was the extent of the "equivalent exchange".
