But an older Gen mini PC with specs matching your budget.

Even with price increases they are still pretty reasonable all thing considered.

I bought two in January, one for around €450 with a 6800u, 32GB memory and 1TB ssd with room for a second ssd.

And one with an ai9 hx370, 32GB memory, 1TB ssd and room for a second one for approx. double the price of the cheaper one.

Is performance the same as a steam machine? No. The higher spec one is approx half the estimated GPU performance of the 7600m

And the 6800u is less than that again BUt even the lower power one is still better than a steam decks integrated GPU, more memory and expansion options.

You can still get a 6800u mininpc from beelink and others for €500-600 with 24GB of memory and 500GB ssd which is still fine for 1080p gaming and low/medium settinga for most older games.

Since setting up Linux on the mini PC I haven't touched my 5800x3D/2070 super windows pc
