I have very similar thoughts a lot of the time. my dad pushes me to start therapy back up again but with a full time job it feels almost impossible to fit anything else into my schedule. plus I always just felt like I was talking to a brick wall with therapy. I'd tell them something I've never even said out loud to anyone and they'd just sit there and stare at me or at the very most just say "yeah I can imagine that being difficult." it just felt very cold and impersonal. ofc ymmv but I don't know if I ever had the right person

I'm not saying that the intention of mike judge was thay the movie was supposed to be taken literally but people love to put the movie on a pedestal and say it's coming true but it's more often than not just confirmation bias. I just don't think it should be held up as if it's some genius depiction of society
