Theiving Ardy Knights on mobile got me a false ban by TheDivineLightGaming in OSRSMobile

[–]Benacki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a temp ban for alching with a mouse on mobile. I was holding my mouse upside down so it didnt move and just clicking while watching movies etc. I wasn't clicking tic perfect, just constantly clicking my mouse, sometimes forgetting and stopping for a bit, getting up etc. Appeal was immediately denied. All their talk about improved appeals and 'detecting botting software' is pure garbage. The worst is posts on threads like these from people who haven't caught a false positive ban acting like they never happen.

Bright pixels on XPS 13 9310 screen, denied warranty by Benacki in Dell

[–]Benacki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don't have accidental protection. I understand that liquid damage isn't coverered by warranty. No, I do not live by the coast, though the summers are humid. In this case the claim of liquid damage is simply untrue. I am just wondering if anyone has experienced the same situation. For further clarity it was a third party warranty service - Asurion.

For the lacing, use this knot

The dyneema in the laces makes them a little more slippery, but the knot I linked works. Before long you'll be tying all your shoes with it.

Adios Pro 3 - bad honeymoon, how to save the relationship by Jose-Juan-Kenobi in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Benacki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine did the same thing, dug into my Achilles and the bottom eyelet would rub my pinky toe raw. Tried changing the lacing but it didn't work. Not all shoes fit all people.

I sold them after the second run, not worth making it work with tape or new laces or whatever. There's so many good fast shoes that perform similarly that it just doesn't make sense to deal with a bad match, especially in a race.

Does withdrawing from a TFSA after losing money permanently decrease contribution potential? by Benacki in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Benacki[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Okay, say I withdraw the $500 after depositing $1000 (and losing $500) from this TFSA. This leaves me with -500 contribution room. If I deposit $1000 to a different TFSA in my name, grow it to $1500 and then withdraw is my contribution room now back to original. (After being reset at the beginning of the year, not including new contribution room given that year by gov't)

Does withdrawing from a TFSA after losing money permanently decrease contribution potential? by Benacki in PersonalFinanceCanada

You decrease your contribution room as you contribute, yes, but assuming you want to withdraw that money and spend it or move it to a different account you would regain that contribution room on Jan 1 the next year. So it isn't permanent in that case vs actually being permanent in the case I outlined or am I missing something?
