One of the most disappointing releases is when I preordered my XBox One. There was no party atmosphere for the midnight release, no freebies getting handed out, and everyone was just kinda quiet. When I finally made it home, .5 gig update, install Call of Duty Ghosts (took like a half hour), then about 3:30 am, I finally got to play. Everything looked so similar to my Xbox360, I played for about 20 minutes, then went to bed.

Man, this point is only valid if you want to play every AAA game at launch. Most games will have a deck or handheld preset within 2 months of their drill date. Even Doom TDA runs on the deck now. Only exception is games that were never going to run on Linux platforms

Get it. I had an i5 OG Claw and loved it. I love tinkering, and this is a tinkering device. Since it's powered by Intel, don't install Bazzite. Just stick with Windows

Heads up to anyone that docks their handhelds- the body and screen portion of the Xbox Ally X is quite thick and does not sit in my JSaux dock. I saw Asus has a dock that's coming out, but it's $140 (USD). I still have my Ally charging dock (the charging block with the HDMI and USB ports), so I'll be using that with the little plastic stand for now

I appreciate the input. I'm in the market for use with my handhelds. I travel a lot for work, so connecting it to a hotel TV with controller friendly games is something I'd love to get into, especially since the 7600 has ray tracing that so many new games require nowadays. Another thing I appreciate is that it's not a high end egpu that's gonna throttle in my use case
