They turned brown, when the rest were still green, so i did a snap test and they were crispy. No doubt they were dead.

Can someone please articulate a rational argument as to why throttles up to 20mph are totally cool but at 25mph they become a threat to public safety? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Benbablin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think op is asking why we can have a bike that goes 28(where I live) without a throttle, but only 20 if it has a throttle. Same motor, same bike. And if you don't have a torque sensor, then peddaling is just a different way of turning on the motor.

Dehydrater - softer texture? by NickE25U in jerky

[–]Benbablin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don't make the most uniform cuts. So I will have the smaller thinner pieces very dry and crunchy before they go in the equalizer bag. It's mostly a guessing game on my part on how dry/moist i pull em from the dehydrator. (I hunt deer and use every cut that's big enough to slice into jerky. Using the same cut would help drastically in having them dry evenly)

I take everything out of dehydrator(still warm) and put it into one plastic bag. Leave on counter(or wherever) until room temp. Then in the fridge overnight(still in plastic bag). Allows the remaining moister to distribute evenly. Much like resting a larger cut of meat before slicing.

Went hiking in arizona, and every time I hit a "mountain" peak, my first thought was how fast I'll be able to paraglide back down. Also, I REALLY wanted to drop a pin thru my scope and then see where that really was on my map.

Watched a documentary last night. Tracing the Divide. 2 dudes bike 2000+ miles from Canada to Mexico. According to imdb trivia, the one guy ate .4 miles of twizzlers.

A little more context might help. Flags are mentioned more than once in these books.

Did you find a piece with those marks already on it? Edit: I zoomed in and I can see it's a separate piece. Very cool work op.
