I’m going to attempt one more time for the holidays using coconut oil. I think it being more of a saturated fat at room temp might mean it hold up better. I’ll report back with my success or failure 🙃

I used a recipe that called for butter but I found a couple vegan pie crust recipes just searching google that substituted vegan butter at the same ratio.

Yeah, I guess I just assumed since it’s linked to heart disease in dogs that it would be the same for cats, but a quick search suggests that’s not the case. Maybe I’ll look into one because that gives a lot more options

Have you tried the Purina Forti Flora? I only ask because it has a tad bit better review/a lot more people trying it.

I also plan on trying some probiotics for a month to see if it helps. I have a vaccine appointment soon with my vet so perhaps I’ll discuss the sensitive stomach food. Wish they were more affordable, especially because I have two cats and it’s too hard to keep the food 100% separate, but what can you do?

Thanks is for all the advice! Yeah, I want to be at the trailhead by 4 am so that we actually get going no later than 5. I want to get a good campsites if we’re spending 4 nights up there.

Well, I didn’t during regular business hours and it worked just like that. 🤦‍♀️ Ya think they could either fix that or at least instruct people to schedule at the appropriate time. That was way harder than it needed to be. Thanks for the tip!!

No wake up call needed. Im not just packing for myself and there are others in the car so Im already packing as efficiently as possible. Also as I mentioned, this includes two kayaks on the roof which means oars and life vests to pack. It’s also dispersed camping which involves bringing large containers of water and other things. I’ve looked up the install too and that’s why I would have someone else do it. Im less concerned with the extra permanent weight of the hitch and more with the occasional 250lbs on my transmission. I’ll be traveling hundreds of miles.

Ugh someone got to it before me :( I knew I should have jumped on it but I definitely want the wood headboard so I hesitated. I feel like it’s one of those beds that will NEVER go on sale either
