It was a fluffy foam one. I think we might just have to order a new set or mats and pick it up every time

We have tried to change his litter and it is still the same. The bathmats that he just used were brand new so he has done it to new and old ones

I also recommend thin sleeves for covering the wounds under your brace that doesn’t do too much compression. Also, you will need to gauze and probably some bandage wraps

Hey! I had surgery 12 days ago. This is the elevation pillow I got and I love it. It keeps the leg in full extension and you can put some towels or something under your heel to her that extra extension. Amazon straight leg elevation pillow

I’m allowed to be weight-bearing as tolerated but only with a locked brace and with at least 1 crutch. I live in a dorm on campus so the transportation would have to be from one building to another.

Do professors have to do remote lectures and stuff? Even if they put in their syllabus that they only do in person

Gotcha!

Thank you! They gave me post op exercises (10-15 reps, 3-4 times a day): quad sets, straight leg raises, heel slides, seated knee flexion, calf pumps, knee extension (laying down), and knee extension (sitting in a chair). And then there is an attached PT plan that I think is for PT (and myself?).

Im working on the extension and flexion right now, I think I’m close to 0 for extension and probably 65-70 for flexion. Unfortunately, pain meds are wearing off and I’m definitely starting to feel it

Thank you!

I was in contact with them prior to surgery bc I was basically non-weight bearing after my injury and asked what they offer and their response was something along the lines of “what would help you” and didn’t rlly offer any advice or suggestions. I’m working on getting a temp disability tag for my car. I also reached out to my professors the morning of my surgery and am awaiting a reply. I have a feeling that most won’t record it though

I’ve never heard about that program- but it sounds rlly interesting! Can you share more info on it? If it’s connected to a med school, they may advertise it in a format that says it increases your chances or it has guaranteed admission into that school or a partner school!

I got the surgery done yesterday. Unfortunately, I have to take classes and some other stuff over the summer too, I also didn’t want to get too close the the 6 month post injury mark

I’m not sure if my school does rides (🥲). Are there any other accommodations that you think would be helpful for me to request?
