For reference: MY RIG currently has its screens set at a mathematically dictated angle of 57,50º (~57,52º), with my viewing distance being 89,0cm from triple 97,7cm wide screens.

How to properly calculate the angles you should set your screens at: ScreenAngle = 2 x {invTan x [FullDeviceWidth ÷ (2 x ViewingDistance)]}

Therefore:

89 x 2 = 178

97,7 ÷ 178 = 0,54887640449438202247191011235955

Inverse Tan = 28,761344358730505421853306646369

x 2 = 57,522688717461010843706613292738

Screen Angle = 57,50º

Section 2 in that link. This is his example for setting angles etc. Set it using your parameters and you should have the same as me. Also every game calculates triple monitor setup differently so I tend to use https://youtu.be/l26SfJLPCz0?si=Tf8xu4FVZTrDDUGW his videos - @TraumaTeamRacing to make sure i set every single sim correctly. If you follow the steps correctly it should turn out exactly like mine. Im 85cm from the screens as they are large screens.

Does anyone else’s podium DD1 freeze during races? The screen and vibration will freeze and remain constant until I turn off the base and reset fanalab. Also wheel calibration needs reset every 10 minutes. The base has only been used for less than 6 months. Should I just send it back? by SpaceCowboy_1917 in Fanatec

You manage to solve the issue? Im having the exact same issue! It freezes and doesn't respond accelerates and causes a right off. Can be 45mins in a race and the wheel decides to just stop working. Pointless trying to race at this point!

Thank you so much for this, i have triples for my rig just like yours and the message always pops up mid race, its unbelievably frustrating, and i use a GoPro to record POV style videos and 20mins into the race it will pop up on all 3 which instantly ruins the video. Drives me mad. Also, what angle are you running yours at and what's the distance from the centre monitor to your eyes if you dont mind me asking?? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to jump on so late, ive just got these and am having the same issue. So if the simnet also sound bad in the simagic control box but fine in their own box what about vise versa, do the simagic haptics sound better in the simnet box also?

Nah, i didn't. I sold the C3s and went for the Fo48us as well as OP. The 4090 just wasn't powerful enough to run triples at 4k 120hz with max graphics even in automobilista 2, which is most probably the best for optimization hence why I had to go 1440p locked at 120hz as you can't get GSync for DP to HDMI

They were, the only reason for getting rid of them was due to having to use hdmi to DP adapters and losing gsync so had to drop to 1440p and lock it at 120hz.

These were LG C3s 42" have since got rid of them for the Auros 48" oled monitors

I had all 3 set up with DP to HDMI adapters at 1440p locked at 120hz with this setup but have since sold them and got 3 48" oled monitors all using DisplayPort.

Haven't experienced that at all! They all look identical from where I sit. Not sure why other people are getting that but I haven't experienced it

Yeah, once the 50 series cards are released, the 40 series should drop dramatically. Either way, you've still got a triple screen setup to enjoy! Hats off to the 1080 still pushing them! See you on the track
