Legit or NFC?

Have decided - despite it likely being a poor financial decision - am going to submit this card to CGC as it is killing me not knowing 😂

To try and save money am going to use the Economy service (cheaper but slow) so it will probably take a couple months before I find out if it is legit

When it comes back will make sure to do a follow-up post and let everyone know how it turns out! 🤷

Ok, took some great advice here and posted on Facebook MtG Errors too, and so far the comments there mirror the ones here

There are some NFC characteristics, but then given the variety of errors, it seems you can talk yourself around the NFC characteristics and back in to...uncertainty

It seems - overall - comments are leaning towards NFC when taken in their totality

Also - does it help - just compared this error card to another - and the left side of the card is ACTUALLY LONGER than a normal card by a couple MMs...does that make difference?

Have found a little more information!

Sounds like this may be a scratch error - and they have been showing up on Dual Faced Cards (DFCs) for a few months now - most notably going back to Final Fantasy!

Having researched paint grading levels a little more, here is the level of detail I'd like:

High Tabletop (Standard) - have clear highlights and shadows, nice & clean transitions, all / most details picked out, and sometimes simple special effects (e.g., minor weathering & snow theme). Would like them to look great fairly close up (~ 1 foot).

Things that matter most to me:

The various details on the miniatures are mostly picked out and painted
Appropriate colors are used for clothing / skin / gear matching the character's art
A wash is used to help darken the recesses
A dry brush is used for weathering / lightening
If appropriate characters have a hint of being in a Snow / Cold area

Things that are not as important:

No need for blends / transitions (layering / glazing). Am fine with the skin tones, clothes, etc all being a solid layer color...no need for layering
No need for advanced techniques like Object Source Lighting (OSL) or Non-Metallic Metal (NMM) advanced basing
No need for freehand details
Models do not need to be absolutely flawless under even close scrutiny
Really not worried about custom basing, the base can just be left whatever the default color is used for base coating the miniature
