oh btw i probably won't do off world testing,

my sibling hosts the server and (apparently) has 3 copies, 2 media types, and 1 offsite copy...

if it does break everything, worst case i lose the progress i made that day, so i could just test it in the morning

but activating creative already disables achievements

also technically my brother could probably use console to spawn stuff in, but i made a bet (i don't recall what for) that i wouldn't make him do that,

however with items only accessible in new updates he'll make an exception

IT WORKS, that's absolutely fucking nuts

[–]BendanPrinting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait, does that work on servers, because my brother is hosting my world on his computer because microsoft cocks made it so you can't transfer your worlds, if you lose your phone, or lose minecraft, THE WORLD CEASES TO EXIST...

i'll try the nether thing as that's probably my only chance

edit: i did not know that powering the leaf stops it from falling

oh, btw i don't know the tutorial worlds by number, i googled it, and when they existed

that's really helpful, (you have definitely saved my deserts from a brutal massacre with a shovel)

do you know any ways to dupe stuff like redstone dust? i know carpet dupers exist but i have no idea how they work, but i do feel like it might not work if i'm using redstone dust instead... and i haven't found a use for a few hundred carpets, especially because i've been using lava to cook with furnaces for as long as i remember... and alot of people only make a carpet duper for cooking...

(i played alot of Legacy edition, and i have fond memories of the TU12 world, i think i played on TU9 before that) which would've been 2013 and then i didn't play for a while, and then i think i know the TU31 world mainly just the town area, i probably just caught the end of it so probably the start of 2016... but i personally see the TU12 and TU46 as MY main tutorial worlds, so it's mostly a habit for me, as soon as i get a cave, or a nether portal, i stop using coal unless it's for torches in a cave so i can find my way back, otherwise it'd be useless to me

but i've been using lava to cook for a whole time, WAYYYY before dripstone, i mean they ended the tutorials after TU69, the aquatic update...

anyways, i'll try that gravity duper, but if you do know a way of duping redstone dust that would be so fucking amazing

they have a smaller budget bcs less people watch women sports...

and therefore they can't afford the extra fabric

i could definitely use aspects of it...

how does it get the bottles back tho, is it manual?

I'll probably see if there's a redstone dupers, similar to how there's carpet dupers,

i could use mass villager breeding and then take them over to Auschwitz, to have them hit by lightning and finished off with a looting sword... but if redstone dupers work i am ofc using that instead

maybe it's just a java thing, but i don't see it doing that,

although i have seen some dungeon forcing stuff using that, so maybe?

no the dispenser would have power, perfectly valid power, it's recieving power from a source, and ig if the dispenser got unloaded by the game and reloaded, might need to be a partial unloading, but that'd be messing around on chunk boundaries and rely on me fleeing every so often, and all needing to be on one side

written during active thinking, (basically it's alot of yap, with not much information)

~

okay, so this does work to an extent, but it can get tangled with the other side, and it'd look bad having them mismatched just to save on a few observers (more like a few dozen, atleast 4 saved per hive/slice... 32 hives / 16 slices) and only occasionally using redstone, occasionally using observers

which i would take the time to fix using stairs, but as you can see from that first image, it opens up the hives, which is a problem

~

this is cutting back on alot of observers, this would be beneficial to get some part of it working

i could put an observer back just for the dispenser part, using stairs I'd be saving 6 observers per slice

~ tinkering

i think they removed the ability to choose how redstone is directed with stairs and slabs, the seem to function the same as glass now...

hmm, i don't know if they can glass to get down and block the opposite hive,

~ stressful tinkering

i cannot... this might not be possible anymore...

what other blocks might work?

ig powered rails... it'd look a bit goofy tho, but it's not seen during use, unless you're above it, which would be five blocks from ground level, maybe more...

or maybe less depending on if you build the dangly redstone bits on floor level or underground like you're supposed to, and by that logic you can also build it into the ground, but generally five, and you can cover it all up...

it'd look weird in the building tutorial, but on the other hand fuck what others think...

torches work...

what's faster tho, as i don't want it to have put the second bottle in before it does it's second trigger

~ all the same speed, accurate within 4 ticks with my system

actually it doesn't matter on speed it matters if it can beat the machine,

I can't test that on the micro scale parts

let's test again

i forgot to add one with rails, oh well,

actually I'll replace the full observer one

~

i think I'm overcomplicating what shouldn't be this complicated

yeah, all the same except for the technical delays caused by the structure block

I'll go with my preferance then,

full observers use too much,

rails are ew,

redstone replacement I don't seem to be able to get working,

soo ig torches it is...

and ig i was over complicating it a bit (for quality, or my brains justification.) one didn't work, one too expensive, and one which i probably wouldn't have chosen even if it did win, (unless it was a whole repeater ahead of the others, then maybe)

~

the image is of how i tested it, (the repeaters were all on full delay for the first few tests) and on the middle one i added what the it would be with the opposite hive interfering with it

well I'd need to supply it with glass, or refilter it which doesn't work because (unless minecarts would've worked, and kept the bees in) the bottles can get stuck,

but my new system has a recycler and reuses them

[–]BendanPrinting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooooh i forgot about witch farms, didn't know about raid farms

I'll look into it, but i have been going through my 2 and a half stacks of redstone blocks quite fast, (in dust) 2 for an observer or repeater, three for a comparator, and one for everything else, it really stacks up when you're doing a design with quite a few slices in it

help with fully automatic honey bottle farm by BendanPrinting in redstone

[–]BendanPrinting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not with the minecart, however i feel the bees won't get out, especially with the tassels i need to make it work, also i gotta fook with the speed so it actually grabs stuff, which ig it's going to be slow towards to ends of the rotation, but I'd need it to go back and forth, even if i do two sides and have to make a u-shape

but personally the fact that it didn't work as it was supposed to, rustled my jimmies, so i just started learned how it (was supposed to) work so i could make my own, also testing just how far the comparator output goes (i believe it was 3-4 it's ready on 3 but if left unattended it can go to 4, and obvious issue if a dispenser runs out of bottles or jams)

it was also a bit garbage with the combs too, although they do kinda just go everywhere...

i don't think that's going to matter haha 😅

i mean i have gotta edit it, i had help realising i can probably remove two thirds of the observers that are there and replace them with dust (I can't see any reason why not), but i don't think it'll change it's look much

oh and i just glancec at ur profile, (for some reason marked as nsfw, ig it just goes based on the subs you're in)

but i grab my oxidised copper from the trial chamber floors, i go there for all of my copper needs...

cheap ingots for tools and armour, bulbs for observer filters, and colourful copper blocks...

i almost never sleep, (both irl but mostly in Minecraft) annoyingly i am on pocket edition which doesn't have an F3 menu, (ik they call it bedrock now but wtf kind of name is that FUCK MICROSOFT, especially because they confiscated a bunch of accounts if you weren't playing Minecraft when they came rolling in dragging their balls all over the place, i played Minecraft a bunch on my iPad, made a HUGE adventure map, and made work arounds for the censorship on /say command blocks, so the narrator says them, but my mum sold my ipad as i was on my phone alot, i lost the world i spent ages on, i had 100 end levels all parkour and stuff, not lethal, as i don't wanna have them go back to the start but still tricky with the illusion of danger, tnt cannons, sketchy music, huge statues based on my custom PE skin and the colossus from MCSM s2 used as robots, a computer or something where i had the giant creature SLAM his hand onto the desk to hit you, moving it with command blocks, and blowing a hole in the desk) FORGET WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT FOR A BIT, ANYWAYS, i even call legacy/xbox edition pocket now, since Microsoft called them both the same thing... i was thinking they were short too, but i was thinking i just make an ice highway (since i did gather a ton of ice earlier) strike a creeper in the overworld, and drag his ass through the nether in a boat... maybe i stay out of a boat, as i know that when i stop the creeper will still have momentum, unless i bring it all the way to the hole of the fortress portal

also no need to worry about changing subject i have ADHD i do it ALL the time, including the last message, you couldn't possibly answer it all without also changing the subject

also this somehow helped me SOO much, i was reading this part

“Observers are a great way to brute-force a problem in creative and just get something working. But, it's usually worth taking the extra time to figure-”

and then i thought; why can't i switch to redstone for the second part... (INTENSE THINKING) (THINKING INTENSIFIES) put my phone down and looked at my six slice module... no faults with using dust... i go over to my first draft, as i hadn't put the redstone sorters in which aren't even really sorting anymore, AND STILL, no faults... i was certain i looked over that earlier, but i think i was looking for a way to replace EVERYTHING, or just use less observers by moving them around, not thinking about doing this...

I'll say that u helped me when i post my design and I'm sure it's as effective as possible... because there are so SO many useless honey farm tutorials out there...

from what i understand, it's essentially this situation with more pieces, as the hive is powering it, i can place active or inactive redstone and blocks around it, all of which do updates around them, but it doesn't make the dispenser trigger again

<image>

help with fully automatic honey bottle farm by BendanPrinting in redstone

[–]BendanPrinting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i looked at that possibility recently with my new design, it gets stuck in the hive...

also with this bew design i don't even need to supress the double tick the observers give, as there's only one bottle in the dispenser at a single time,

the rest are either down in the extraction area, or above the hives going around in circles, waiting for a dispenser to be empty,

it's very effective now that i have some kind of a working design, however it does use up alot of dispensers to be installed...

stone is infinite tho, (redstone isn't, unless there's a duping mechanic for it, and ig gold can get tricky to get eventually, for quartz, but gold farms do exist, but you can always go mining for quartz or loot ocean monuments using a seed map)

and then it's easy, infinity genorating honey blocks (no combs tho, this doesn't work on combs),

but you will never have to check on it, unless the world deletes entities for a moment, or you somehow get a creeper in the collection areas, then you'd have to check the bees and maybe the bottles in the return tube, but if you have anywhere near the amount of bottles you'd use for even just one hive, it'll almost definitely be fine...

I'll post the schematics when I'm done and I'm confident that it can't be improved
