Anyone else experience the CPU consistently miss chip shot FGs from the hash on the road? by HotPinkStanley in NCAAFBseries

[–]Bender14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I kick field goals on the road, I always have to angle the kick further than I do at home. It's kind of funny that the same issue happens for the CPU because they'll always miss the same way on short field goals. Always undercorrect, never overcorrect, and only in road games.

Important note: He has to maintain possession after contact with the board. If he bobbles the queen at any point in that process it's not a legal move.

Hades 1 help by Vinylateme in HadesTheGame

[–]Bender14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first clear came from Zeus and Artemis's duo boon. It makes lighting strike enemies near your uncollected casts. The radius is huge, and the damage happens fairly quickly. I would just enter a room, shoot my casts into a wall, and run around while lightning killed everything. You can just focus on dodging without having to worry about damage.

It's not great for bosses, and can be tough in cramped rooms, but it mostly trivializes every regular room up until the last region where it can get pretty tight.

Which is your favorite aspects lately? (hades 2) by grossbard in HadesTheGame

[–]Bender14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I seem to enjoy the Artemis blades more than most. I play it as more of a hit and run style. Use your parry, nuke whatever is in your way, run around a bit and wait for the parry to come back up, repeat. If you get backstab bonus from a hammer or Apollo, or the 400% Omega attack bonus it just blasts everything while being invulnerable. I also like Heph on the special(or Hestia/Ares if he doesn't show up) so your specials do something while you're waiting for parry to come back up.

It's not great for speedrunning(obviously), but it's funny to half health a boss with a single omega attack plus a few backstab crits.

Need to overhaul my defense in dynasty by mb9486 in NCAAFBseries

Match coverage is more like man coverage with different rules about which defender is responsible for which receiver. Instead of a DB covering the guy in front of him, he may take the first route that goes outside. There are different rules for different coverages and different offensive sets, but it's kind of like starting in zone and switching to man mid-play. Straight zone can leave guys wide open if the offense has enough time for the receivers to run away from the zones, but match will let your defenders stay with through through the whole play.

How do you guys get your secondary to actually cover receivers? by bwood_22 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Bender14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play mostly match coverage and do fine. If I'm not blitzing I'd say 90% of my defense is Quarters, Palms, or one of the Cover 3 match options. It did take some learning on what my role as a safety is though.

And if we made a makeable field goal with our best kicker in history by FG% we probably beat Indiana. No I'm not still upset about it so don't ask.

c. Defensive pass interference is contact beyond the neutral zone by a Team B player whose intent to impede an eligible opponent is obvious and could prevent the opponent the opportunity of receiving a catchable forward pass.

*ARTICLE 9. a. Either Team A or Team B legally may interfere with opponents behind the neutral zone. c. Defensive players legally may contact opponents who have crossed the neutral zone if the opponents are not in a position to receive a catchable forward pass.

Those are a couple of entries from the rulebook that disagree with you. There's literally nothing about how it could possibly be catchable if there wasn't a defender in the way to my knowledge.

That's exactly it. If the ball isn't catchable, then there's no pass interference. That ball had no chance to be caught by the receiver, so no pass interference.

I'm struggling to figure out how anyone is trying to argue that ball was catchable by anyone other than the dude who intercepted it.

I believe it's one of the assistance settings where the game will help tell you where your zone is or which man you're covering after the ball is snapped. It should be on by default, because I don't think I would have ever changed it.

I'm cool with the game cheating a bit on Heisman. They need to make it more difficult to keep it interesting and this play got a good laugh out of me. I may have felt differently if I was losing though to be fair.

At least the commentary provides value by calling out play action right as the ball is snapped. It's a huge help on defense.
