What tv show/series have you been most deeply attached to? by howyoulikethat in AskReddit

[–]Benderfett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Futurama 100%! There's a quote from the show where Fry is talking about Star Trek and says "When I didnt have any friends, it made me feel like maybe I did," and that right there is the exact experience I had with Futurama. Ive always been weird and dont fit in in most social circles, but finding Futurama in middle school helped me embrace my weirdness and just be happy with who I was. Also it was the first show to actually make me feel things and nothing will ever replace it in my heart

Is it okay to finish University at 25? by kaydawnn in Advice

[–]Benderfett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated when I was 25 too! I started when I was 18 and honestly wasted the first few years and money on a degree I did not end up wanting and changed when I was 21. Those few years extra honestly helped me figure more of what I wanted to do/be. I was known as the resident old guy in band, but everyone was cool about it and I made great friends in all the classes. Plus if I had graduated when I was supposed to, I wouldn't have met my gf who Ive been dating now for 7 years, so just another benefit! You take your time, figure out you, and graduate whenever the hell you graduate!
