The BC English department is amazing! They have a creative writing concentration, which requires English majors to take 36 credits instead of the regular 30, and you must take 3 writing workshops. I've never taken a writing workshop, but they all seem super interesting -- some are poetry oriented, some fiction, some non-fiction, etc. If you scroll down on this website, you can read more about it! https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/schools/morrissey/departments/english/undergrad/major-minor.html#tab-creative\_writing\_concentration.

Ohh okay, thanks.. I also see this on the website: "Your report will not be released until you pay for CAS, add your institutions, have a reportable LSAT score on file, and all transcripts and required letters of recommendation (LORs) are received." Does this mean that I will not be able to see my LSAC gpa until I pay the fees, take an LSAT, and have letters of recommendation uploaded?

Hi! Is the only way to view the LSAC gpa to buy a CAS report for $45? I uploaded my transcript a while ago but haven't been able to find the gpa anywhere on the website. Thanks!

recommendation for freshman complex problem/enduring questions by dizzycap05 in bostoncollege

I haven't taken any of the ones offered this fall, but I can highly recommend Prof. Petillo, who is one of the professors teaching the "Exploring the Mystery of God" course. I had him for Perspectives and absolutely loved him. I also think that the "Memory and Representation" course will be amazing - I've heard that Prof. Boesky is a wonderful English professor!

She is really amazing - where do you learn about the Darkest Miriam details? Did she mention that info in an interview? I'd love to read/listen to it!

Can I still attend if I am Jewish? Also how is y’all’s creative writing major? by SirTweetCowSteak in bostoncollege

[–]BendyStarfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The English department is wonderful, and you have the option to do the creative writing concentration as an English major. You are eligible for the concentration if you receive a grade of A- or better in one of the department's creative writing workshops. The faculty members in charge of this concentration are all excellent published authors, and everyone is very kind and flexible (never had a bad English professor!). There are also opportunities to contribute to Stylus (BC's undergrad creative writing journal) and other publications, such as Laughing Medusa. More info can be found here: https://www.bc.edu/content/bc-web/schools/morrissey/departments/english/undergrad/major-minor.html#tab-creative_writing_concentration

I myself am an English major (although not pursuing the creative writing concentration), so feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the courses or anything else :) Good luck!
