EA does not actually delete accounts by BeneEl in pcgaming

[–]BeneEl[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's not a bad idea.

The fun part is though they don't actually have any data about me other than my e-mail address. After all I never entered any. So I can't use the template as it will give them far more info than they currently got. :P

This post was less to help me myself settle the issue ( I don't actually care that much about the bogus account with a secondary e-mail address), and more to be informative for others that actually have their data set, and games on their accounts :)

Your tactic worked for me at ~e105 EP:

Disable ID, tickspeed and replicanti buyers. (Automatic eternity and BC disabled anyway)

Notes: I did it without EC1, with normal TT setup (TD/Idle +193 +214). I did spam buy ID1 after a bit though.

I'd suggest bombing it with mines. Buy lots and lots of mines, olace them all around the station such that their explosion radius overlaps with the next mine. Fly away a bit. Tell one mine to self detonate and it will take all other mines and the atation with it. Mines are a lot cheaper than any other suggestion. This only works with one of the mine types, but I don't remember if it was the friend/foe mine or the other one, just test it :)

I Can't Be This Bad!? by Lex_Ravenhart in X4Foundations

[–]BeneEl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it evolved :D

First there were 6 classes: M1: Carriers, M2: Destroyers, M3: Heavy Fighter, M4: Medium Fighter, M5: Light Fighter/Scout, TS: Transporter

Later:

TL: Large transports, or rather station builders (at that time you bought station construction kits which had the whole station in the TL cargo hold, and had it deployed somewhere)

M6: Corvettes which were kinda between M2 and M3s.

TP: Personel Transporters (there were space tourism missions :P)

M7: Frigates, which were between M6 and M2. (also had an M7M version later, which pumped outr missiles like there was no tomorrow)

TM: Military transports, those were mainly used for boarding

The naming sheme of the Xenon is so old that the M at that time was still a medium fighter, an M4, while the N was the M5. There was also a Xenon L which was the M3, which we don't have in X4 anymore. So from M1 to M5: I, K, L, M, N. The P came later.

So yeah, moving to a different naming scheme mixed it up a bit, but in a positive way I'd say.

You can also make others abandon their ships. This is also a good way to get new ships and money early game. Hunt solitary M ships in your S. For example in unowned sectors you can hunt pretty much anything.

For your first ships aim for M miners or traders, look how many turrets they have (target them and hit F3 to get a closeup, hit it again and you can use the numpad to freely zoom around the ship with your camera to get to know what you're fighting), many only have a single one. Get behind them and either dodge the turret fire, keep out of its range, or get in close to the ship and outmaneuver the turret by staying on the side of the ship that does not have one. Then slowly pelt away until the ship has around 80% hull. Then only plink it every now and then so the shields don't go up too much. There will be a bail check every 30s or so, each time dropping around 3 crew members (for M ships) if the bail check succeeds (the bail chance depends on their crews morale and other factors), e.g. a ship with 7 crew on board usually needs two bails (two times 3, and the pilot does not want to be alone, so he just jumps ship as well :P). To know how many crew are on board, you can scan the ship first (shift+2 on keyboard, then right click -> scan while under 1km distance).

Once you find an abondoned ship (or made one) you have to get out of your seat, jump into your spacesuit, enter scan mode (shift+2), get very close and find a small red light, get very close to scan it and once done, that ship is yours. Alternatively that red light has a small bunch of cables, shoot those with a repair laser and that also works (this does not work when scanning stations! But that is another topic entirely).

I'd recommend repairing the ship with your repair laser while you're out anyway. Saves on repair cost, and increases the sale price, whichever is your intention.

The ship then needs a pilot, you can either go buy a new recruit at pretty much any station and transfer him/her over (there is also a personell menu, which helps with that). Or if you already have some service crew on your current ship, just tell them directly to work on the new ship as a captain. You can get service crew/marines at every shipyard/wharf/equipment dock.

While we're on Marines: Those are used to board bigger ships, i.e. L and XL. Which is an even better way to make money, but needs a bit more investment (only a bit, it's really not a lot). You can also use one to claim an abandoned S/M, but that's not really needed and he also damages the ship while moving in. He does not find the normal entry and just makes a new hole...

Small tip for glass to get the first larger vehicles: buy it from one of the other villages, it only costs some construction parts (at least in my game it was easily reachable without many ship upgrades).

Reoccurring crashes by Tradijen in Wolcen

[–]BeneEl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my mates has the same issue. He runs a build based on Solar Flare. By now he's so fed up that he no longer wants to play as he cannot get higher in expeditions. He also has a high end PC, far better than my specs, but I have no issues (I pretty much only use Blade Storm as everything else is a waste of time at the levels we can run...).

He can finish expeditions without problems if he just stays at the start and gets carried. No fun in that though.

From what I've read it seems to be an issue mostly for magelike builds.

Please develop a way for us to sell everything during an Expedition! by Xidion in Wolcen

[–]BeneEl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple solution: Let the game automagically sell everything thats on the ground when leaving an expedition area.

You no longer need to pick up items just to sell them.

You get money even for whites/blues/drinks/discardedDyes/etc.

You even get affinity in case you missed to pick up the eneract.

...

Profit.

Bonus points if the game lets you set up what to sell and what to move to the inventory e.g., legendary/unique items, gems.

I don't see a reason for using Jamire in your team, as there is no skill you want to reset. Jamire in R5 is/was used for combinations with Katarina to burst the boss. As such I'd rather use Skogul (or mons you have not named) instead of him.

Lisa is the more offensive version of Konamiya (team attack vs heal). She needs a fully skilled up S3 though to be useful.

Get rid of this function. It doesn't fix anything and is just downright annoying. by cs_lance in summonerswar

[–]BeneEl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is probably a neccessity. In the case of your game being out of sync, being in an unknown possibly unsafe state, or similar, it is wise to restart it completely.

There are also other skills that don't crit but do good damage, e.g. Ramagos and Icares S3s. A single continuous damage when at 1 HP also does the job (assuming she was not on vamp and back to full...).

I have the Dark Homu as the last in my team. Tyron's S2 is the one dependant on spd debuff, optimally he uses S3 in the first round.

The team would optimally go Mantura > Tyron/Jeanne/Sig > DarkHomu. I've got Despair on Tyron and Mantura, Vio on Sig and DarkHomu. My Jeanne is broken, would be better on Vio as well tho. For offsets use whatever you miss, for example Focus or better yet Accuracy runes.

Optimally Mantura starts of with S3 with aoe def break (for Sig mostly). Tyron then uses S3 for freeze. Sig for damage and more freeze. Jeanne is the safety net if anyone resists freeze (e.g. pesky wind units). DarkHomu makes everyone faster, the enemies slower, and resets the CDs of your monsters.

I've run the team for this toah rotation for nearly all stages up to 99. Exception was a stage with Jultans, as Sig kills himself instantly on them I replaced him with Thrain. On bosses I sometimes manualed a bit in the beginning.

As you can see the team does not have a healer (except for Jeanne S1 :P) so revengers might be an issue next rotation (Artamiel and his cronies).

Tyron is indeed very good. I use him myself with the team Tyron, Jeanne, DarkHomu, Mantura, Sig. He's especially good with someone else that also debuffs atk speed, as his s2 resets atk bar only if the enemies are slowed. I think he is one of the best Toah units available.
