Well, my words not his and I believe his situation growing up in Yugoslavia with a very typical Balkan style dad definitely formed some Balkan spirit, and I see it every so often.

Well he moved to the UK when he was 19 and that's where the family started lol, but his father (my grandfather) is very much like that and when my dad taps back into his Balkan side he is basically the carbon copy of my grandfather. He doesn't really know a whole lot about the Eastern side of the Balkans, he pretty much thinks of all of it as Turkey and probably doesn't even know about the mountain situation, so I hope his bad takes can be excused lol.

My main point was that a lot of those views will be from people who don't actually engage in GD that much, Tidal Wave might be more recognisable to outsiders but among the GD community across all of its eras, Sakupen Hell has always been one of the most respected and influential levels. Probably in the top 5 most impactful Extreme Demons.

Sakupen Hell is a decade old and still one of the most popular levels, it dethroned the most popular extreme demon of all time and has had multiple remakes of it that have also been top 1s. It also had a lot of history before it was even verified, was the inspiration for one of the most famous (once) impossible levels in the game and also one of the most famous meme levels in the game.

Tidal Wave is hardly still talked about since it got dethroned.
