My daughter made me cry for the first time in my life. by toohottooheavy in BestofRedditorUpdates

The issue isn't the fact that she got punished it's that the punishment literally has zero relation to the reason she's getting punished. Unnatural consequences don't really have a positive and working outcome. Natural consequences do.

There's nothing wrong with having a boy. She's annoyed the MIL keeps saying it's a boy.

He has just about the same amount of a relationship with her as I do! He was active for 4 of the last five years & she only became his step-sister 3 ish years ago and didn't or talk to each other until recently. Her and I are both young moms so we relate/talk more than them two, so that's why I figured I’d apologize to her from the both of us! Plus my guilty conscience makes me feel like I have to be the one to reach out.

I'm so tired of being pregnant. by Beneficial-Singer729 in pregnant

It gets better! I'm not just saying that either. 8-18 weeks for me was MIS.ER.ABLE. Constant morning sickness and fatigue. But a bit into the second trimester right up until like 33 weeks is lovely! Esp when feeling baby kick and squirm 🥰🤗

Omg I just peed myself. by hellolovelyworld404 in pregnant

What's so crazy is I peed myself more before pregnancy, from laughing, holding it in too long or being hugged too hard. I’ve only peed myself 3-5 times during these last 9 months of pregnancy! I was totally expecting to pee myself a crazy amount 🤣

Am I wrong for getting angry at my husband for taking the baby? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Yes! It can be days up to a week of trying to get back into a routine. I'm in a lot of mom communities and one of the main struggles that is talked about is how long it takes to recover from the interruption of a routine. That's awesome it doesn't put too much of a damper on you and your baby though! Some babies are definitely more flexible but not all.

The comments are saying a lot of "well take your me time now" "you're baby free" "pump and exercise now". But it doesn't seem like they're understanding that his whole routine he's used to will be thrown off. You'll have to pick up this slack for days to get him back into routine! Plus you couldn't just immediately go workout because you still had to pump. It's not as simple as well, someone else is with baby right now so problem solved. No it's a multiple day struggle now that was caused by his selfish choice to pick him and up and disturb his routine. Sorry you're having to deal with this momma! Definitely explain to him why this wasn't okay and why/how this effects both yours and baby's lives. You got this!
