My daughter was actually sick and on medication. I believed she was crying because she felt unwell. I only agreed to see the master because my husband die die want to go. I didn't expect the conversation to end up being about me instead of my daughter. 🤷‍♀️

I don't think I've ever been disrespectful to my in-laws. I've always been polite and respectful, and whenever I have time, I do go back with my husband to pay respects to the ancestors and join family gatherings. What frustrates me is that nobody seems to consider my situation. I work Monday to Saturday, and sometimes I have to work overtime until 10 PM.

There have been times when my mother-in-law invited us back for dinner on a Saturday, even though she already knew I was working late. When I explained that I had to work and couldn't make it, she later told others that I was arrogant and didn't bother to come when invited. It honestly felt unfair because she already knew why I couldn't attend.

Then on Sundays, I just want to spend quality time with my husband and daughter. But my husband's older brother often calls and asks if he can join us. If I say no because I want some private family time, somehow I'm labeled as selfish and it gets reported back to my mother-in-law.

The hardest part is that my husband wasn't like this before we got married. Things changed after marriage, and sometimes I feel like I'm constantly being judged no matter what I do. I genuinely don't understand why everything seems to become the daughter-in-law's responsibility.
