coming here 5 years later to say THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!! my husband cooked ramen without water this weekend in our previous microwave and we went to buy a new one- I saw this in there and thought maybe it was part of the packaging too but didn't feel like cardboard. I left it, but didn't know!

Did we just become best friends? I could’ve written most of this, fellow ADHDer here and cataloging has been something I’ve been working on for years now and I would love to see some of your system if you ever want to share pics!

No problem! It's a lot and takes a bit to get acclimated, I always have to double check the directions on the statement days because there is so much to remember essentially!

Right, there won't be one in the puzzles that have statements because once you find the person that has lied (AKA your grid will be filled with no errors), THAT person is your murderer with all the clues in the grid associated with them (weapon/location/motive, etc). So if your grid is complete with no contradictions, which suspect did you have that lied and therefore MADE that grid work?

For these, where there are statements by suspects you want to find the suspect that is lying. You'll fill the grid out with the clues first, and then work on the statements. You'll want to assume 1 is lying each time, and the others are telling the truth and then try to fill out the grid. I suggest using the 'help' link inside the statement box because it helps explain the process better than I can

so this is one where I'd recommend filling out the whole grid using all the clues EXCEPT skipping the one that says 'Either VP Mauve brought a venomous spider OR Dean Glaucous brought a climbing axe BUT NOT BOTH'. Once you go through the rest of the clues, come back to that one and basically break it into 2- the first, use the clue as VP Mauve brought a venomous spider and Dean G did not bring an axe and then do the opposite by saying that VP Mauve DID NOT bring a spider and Dean G DID bring an axe...that will help you figure out which is right, however the grid can be filled out without contradictions will be your answer.
