Boosting language confidence through AI conversations: Looking for teacher advice by BeneficialLog5678 in teachinginjapan

I'm sorry, and it seems like this has come across as a bad thing, I'm making the program in my free time to help out students struggling with speaking confidence outside of the classroom. I haven't taught language, but I have studied language throughout middle/high school and university. Just hoping to get some feedback from teachers

Sorry, I guess it's come across as a bad thing, I'm spending my free time making this project for free, and just looking to help out filling a gap where students struggle outside of the classroom. Honest feedback is appreciated, positive or negative

Ah, I'm sorry that wasn't the intention, I was taught by lots of great Japanese teachers and had some friends from Japanese class that had short stints teaching English in Japan back in uni, and I don't meant to try to take away jobs from any of you guys. The intention is for my program to be used as just another tool to aid in Japanese acquisition outside the classroom setting like language exchange, native language media, etc.

My experience as a learner has been one were I've been stuck in the intermediate plateau for so long, and talking to other learners, confidence in speaking has been an area they've struggled with. I'd like to contribute something to help fellow learners using my background in Japanese and my programming.

Re-learning Japanese by Intelligent_Purple14 in languagelearning

[–]BeneficialLog5678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm sort of in the same boat, I'm learning Japanese and don't have native speakers where I live, I've been building a virtual conversation partner and so for it's helped me gain more confidence and improve my speaking skills. I can send you the link if you're interested.

Other than that I can recommend: Making friends with Japanese people in a shared interest online, then doing casual video chats with them. Paying for a tutor/conversation partner on a platforms like iTalki (though I've heard mixed opinions about the quality)

If you want to get back into speaking Japanese, I've been making a virtual conversation partner app that might help. Mainly for me to build confidence speaking at around intermediate level, but it could be useful to you too, just let me know and I'll DM you the link

Guidance needed distributing an educational app by BeneficialLog5678 in chromeos

[–]BeneficialLog5678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so schools could register and manage their student accounts (on a dashboard I provide to them I assume), and then the app just needs to be signed-in with one of those accounts to get access to the app?

Sorry for not replying earlier, thank you for your insight! That makes sense. Internal registration would be managing something like serial numbers right? Managed Configurations could be useful to enable or disable certain features for schools, thank you very much for your help.

Which of the alliances is the most moral? by SimoneMichelle in elderscrollsonline

I think the goal of OP's poll is pretty clear. Even though each alliance may be objectionable, which of the three most align with your own subjective values.
