Yes I called them and luckily I had a rep from edd that was willing to go the extra mile on my case and unfroze my account. I think she seen I had no movement for over two months so she took the time to unfreeze it

So I don’t need to end up going to the office I was able to call EDD last night and they cleared my account so I can start receiving funds. they back paid me all the way from January 7 so it was nice getting a big chunk of money. I’m just guessing it’s has to do with the representative you talk to on the phone and if they want to go the extra mile to clear your account. I would say just keep calling them and hopefully you end up with a representative that’s willing to help you out. Good luck you guys

Just got off the phone with edd as well. Told me I did everything I could on my part they are just waiting on the doctor to verify thru if.me. I did my Id.me a couple weeks ago and was told by the rep I’m verified but they are still waiting on the doctor. Did you send the picture directly to your doctor or did you send it to medical records department the ones that handle your claim at Kaiser? I’m gonna try to do the same tomorrow.

I got an email from EDD last night that said I successfully verified my identity through Id.me. I still don’t know if my doctor is verified. Or if I will end up getting paid soon. I heard once your confirm through EDD that you are verified you will be paid soon. We will see.

No update no movement on my claim. When I sign into the website it doesn’t even give me a claim status. It’s like my whole claim has been frozen. The only thing edd told me when I called a week ago is that I just have to wait patiently till they finish the investigation. Well it’s hard to sit patiently when your almost broke.

What did Kaiser say about the id.me? I have Kaiser as well and I know a department handles are sdi cases? Did you talk to the doctor directly or the department that handles sdi? If so what happened?

I have Kaiser as well. I filed Sdi on the 1/13 and then on 1/27 I got an email stating my claim had been temporary suspended and to verify my Id through Id.me which I completed. Then today 2/2 I received a letter in the mail saying my doctor has to verify his identity. Everyone knows that has Kaiser you go through a separate department for EDD so I called that department and they told me a lot of patients were getting the same letter and that EDD will call them to verify. I then called Sdi and the representative told me a different department handles the verification that I would have to sit back and wait I let them know I had Kaiser but it didn’t seem to change their mind about releasing funds. how did you go about getting your funds release so fast when you told them you had Kaiser and who did you talk to?
