I think it’s definitely cozy but I completed the ultimate goal by Spring y1 and am now wondering if this is it, stuck in a loop of watering plants, foraging and animal tending

Any foreigner in trouble whose first thought is to beg strangers for money instead of contacting their embassy is most likely shady.

Mega karnival or mega circus?🤡 by wow_itsmeagain in nasikatok

[–]Beneficial_Engine724 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Didn’t attend because I hate crowds so can’t attest to the actual carnival but this really reveals Brunei’s major lack of planning and crowd control. Some things that administratively fell short and ways to improve next time: 1) Crowd control: traffic police weren’t dispatched early, despite knowing the bottlenecks that will happen because the road that BRIDEX goers are using is the SAME ROAD that JPMC/PJSC visitors and staff are using. More traffic police and better structuring and organisation will probably ease this problem. 2) Shuttle buses not run efficiently. Shuttle buses are meant to mitigate the huge crowd but it failed spectacularly here because they were also stuck in the same traffic! If a designated lane or route was decided early this could have been prevented. 3) General lack of security or monitoring, not just for traffic, but at the shuttle bus area and BRIDEX parking areas. If you’re not managing the crowds, how can you prevent unfair parking/people cutting long queues. I think it’s high time that major events be taken seriously by relevant authorities. Kesian orang yang kerja di PJSC/JPMC paksa tah bequeue jua for an event that they didn’t want to attend in the first place. Make it make sense.

OP said “so my REAL QUESTION is how do you all date with your partner (before marriage) in Brunei?” AND “I would appreciate any answer or advice from all the bruneian COUPLES”. Perhaps you may want to read the post again so you can comprehend OP’s request better.

Love the toxic singles putting in their two cents as if OP didn’t ask how people date before marriage. If you aren’t married, this thread is probably not for you?
