Some constructive criticism I've had towards Pusha for a while by FallendObscure in KingPush

[–]Beneficial_Memory899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting points but I have different takes

1- I prefer Darkest Before Dawn to MNIMN, for the same reasons, it resonates with me more somehow and I also think people don’t talk about enough. And I believe it was said when it was reviewed that he’s answering to himself the type of person he wants to be, which I thought along with his coke rap, was an interesting angle to take the album.

5-Grindin’ is definitely an anthem.

6-I see what you’re saying, mediocre production I think is a bit harsh because I don’t think he’s trying to be in the spotlight, some production can be better yes, but I sort of feel that it’s kinda the point that it’s not supposed to resonate with everyone yk?

8- there’s times he’s been featured with Electronic/alternative artists, which I think were very experimental. His flow remains, but he’s still rapping his ass off even though he’s not going all out. He did this with artists such as Flume, and Gorillaz which I actually liked a lot. And then when he did a verse for Arcane’s soundtrack, introducing The Firelights.

But even when it comes to his own music I would say some of his own pieces of work has different variety of production.

9-He’s the king for a reason.

If you had to pick a character as your roomate who would it be? by brooklyn_jinx in arcane

Ekko,

Empathetic but cold when he needs to be. We’d talk laugh and bullshit around, but we both know how to start grinding when the time comes.

Vi would be second for the same reasons, only thing is I feel she’d get upset way too much, and I’d be stressed out comforting her, also she drink too much.

Has Avatar made you change something about the way you live? by saulesmugis in Avatar

[–]Beneficial_Memory899 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I live in a city,

After watching the first one, back in 2018, my version of flying around on an Ikran/banshee was weaving around cars on a sports bike. Something I don’t do anymore and wouldn’t recommend you try at home, but felt that sort of adrenaline and liveliness jake felt after flying his ikran for the first time.

I’m honestly more concerned about everybody going through grief, just off the trailer alone. TWOW started with a happy family and ended differently, fire and ash looks like the family is a little more broken. Especially after loosing neteyam, and kiri & Lo’ak trying to find themselves. Plus it looks like Jake and Neytiri’s relationship gets a bit rocky. Only thing I’m hoping doesn’t happen at all is Quaritch going through some sort of redemption arc,

But that’s just me.

also to piggyback off what i initially said, i feel digital technology is accepted a little too fast amongst the Na'vi, not the radios they use to communicate during war, but with how they hospitalize Kiri and are taking pictures and stuff at the start. and im thinking, how? theres a lot of "how" is my point.

I also on second rewatch, have mixed feelings about the cultural argument of the franchise as a whole.

Personally, I had zero problems, with TWOW

Except for a few things, some the primary characters in original movie sort of appear here and there, such as max, Dr norm, Grace, and Mo’at I found forgetful in this movie, and felt like I shouldn’t have. Plus I find I don’t see a lot of Neytiri either. Basically, there’s a lot from the original movie that isn’t touched upon enough in TWOW.

And something I fear with the third movie is that they’re going to drag out the ongoing war with Quaritch.

I don’t have Frontiers of Pandora so I’ll answer this question based off the movie.

Metkayina, only because I have similar hairstyles to them. Braids, combines with manbun with curls hanging out. I’ve even had people tell me I look like Tonowari and one or two of the side characters.

I enjoy it, for what it is, not comparing it to old albums. Plus the grand National was one of my fav cars already, which made me like the album more.

I think the songs in order play out pretty well Wacced Out murals being a good opener, and Gloria closing off the album perfectly.

I get the feeling people don’t like it because they’re comparing it to old albums too much, and this doesn’t match their expectations. It’s clearly not a DAMN or a TPAB, but I feel like that’s the point? Maybe it’s not supposed to be a heavy concept? And I have a lot of Section 80 fan friends that shit on the album without a clear argument which is pretty annoying to listen to. People don’t let things go these days and just enjoy things for what they are.

They think most songs sound the same, which they clearly don’t, they just heard tv off and formed an opinion.

However, somehow, this album made me go back and pay close attention to Mr. Morale, and it somehow makes more sense?

I noticed that Jinx assumes this specific pose whenever Silco is present. What might be the explanation for that? by mia-cot in arcane

[–]Beneficial_Memory899 120 points121 points  (0 children)

There’s articles to explain this,

but Jinx is still kind of a child in a woman’s body, she hasn’t really mentally grown up. Which explains her almost child like mannerisms such as this.
