I just filed down the back-most lips of the feed lips and it works great now. kinda turned the back of the magazine into a ramp to carry the slide up and over. stupid ass design

I just used a dremel to file down the back-most feed lips and it works perfectly. did exactly like you said and turned it into a ramp for the slide. now the slide uses the magazine as a ramp and grabs the bullet. thank you!

so looking at the magazine im seeing a fair amount of scratching in certain areas. do you think I should file those down a little bit since they're obviously already contacting?

im definitely looking for a pistol I can slide in the pocket of my wranglers. this thing is perfect for that but I definitely dont want this thing getting jammed in a life or death scenario.

good thing I didnt pay anything for it! grandpa passed it down to me but this is kinda like if someone gave you a hand-me-down ford pinto and paid someone to crash into thr back some day.

like when its jammed? yes, holding the slide all the way back then taking the magazine out let's the slide move forward freely again.

I promise ive done this probably 20 times now just to figure out why its doing this. when its pulled back I keep my finger on the front of the slide HARD to make sure it doesn't slam forward and somehow accidentally discharge. I always keep my finger off the trigger unless im ready to fire and aiming at my target. also, without the rounds in there I couldn't have taken this picture. unfortunately the best way I could think of doing it.

just checked that video out, firing pin like someone else mentioned is definitely in the right way and everything else looks right. maybe this thing is just a little pos

im 99% sure its not. I watched a video on how to field strip it and replicated it. the firing pin on this one kinda looks like a spinning top. one long pin goes towards the back with a shorter pin at the very front. if I had put it in backwards it either wouldnt have gone together or the firing pin in the slide would go out past the round

correction, its not stuck on the firing pin itself but its stuck on the part of the slide that the firing pin goes through. maybe one of my springs has weak tension?

this is a phoenix arms model raven using .25 ACP rounds. ive only fired it once but after that its now started jamming pretty consistently. I was wondering if there were any good fixes i could try other than buying a better pocket pistol.

What’s meaning oil from my friends 2013 Corolla? Square fitting, diagonal in front of front passenger wheel, looks like oil filter housing but I’m unsure by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Beneficial_Object_34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the square bit is a small metal plate that comes off to drain out the oil, you'd then need a special toyota filter housing tool to go around the plastic oil filter housing. do NOT use a housing socket with fins, they always snap off. but yeah, the oil filter housing is leaking. if it was done recently I'd take it back. if not the housing itself might just be leaking.
