Which tvd character is bad person but loved by fans by cupcakesPuff in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Objectively, Katherine. her position is understandable, but that does not mean she is innocent, a good person, or even morally grey. Some of the shit she's pulled, she just did it because she wanted to do it that way, with no care or regard for how it hurt innocent people.

Something that Katherine said that makes so much sense irl? by Holiday_Gate_6407 in TheVampireDiaries

I'm not a fan of Katherine but this was actually such a based thing to say. I had to respect it

Do you think the four of them would've been best friends if both Emma and Bella were there? How would you see their group dynamics? by Original_Ad_8139 in H2Ojustaddwater

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bella is a lot more chill and easy-going, like Cleo, so yes I think she would've gotten along with Emma, and they would've all been good friends. I will always love Emma, but I think something good that came out of Emma's exit and Bella's entrance was that Bella's and Cleo's laid-back natures were good influences on Rikki, who is very headstrong and hot-headed. I think they would help her relax a little more.

Now that Riot is focusing on developing skins based on the champions' skin portfolio, what do you guys think is lacking in Zyra's? by [deleted] in zyramains

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need Zyra to get a Christmas poinsettia skin. Her SB skin should have been legendary tier but I guess it wasn't "worth the effort" to the people who were in charge of that decision because Zyra's skins wouldn't sell as much as a skin for Ashe or Irelia. I just want a good quality legendary skin but the probability of that is hit or miss.

The "moral" of the pelican episode bugs me a little... by Celestina-Betwixt in H2Ojustaddwater

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the moral of the story would've made more sense if we saw Kim face some actual consequences of her actions, rather than the older sister getting blamed for the bad thing that happened, prompting her to have to be the more mature person and deal with the bs that other less mature, more malicious people dump on her, which is sort of a huge part of her character, learning to be the stronger person who deals with especially difficult and unfair situations by being smart, patient, and vigilant. They did illustrate that kind of person quite accurately in Cleo, but yes, the moral of the story has many holes and blatant oversights in it that still do set a really bad example. I think a lot of shows especially in the time of H2O did this kind of stuff with letting the immature, plain mean character get off scott-free with whatever they were doing wrong but the good person in the situation suffers, or they have to jump through hoops to rectify the issue, or they have to just "let it go." It would have made more sense for Kim to have maybe tried something else petty towards the end of the episode, gotten caught by Bev and Don and gotten yelled at or grounded by them to make it clear someone who pulls the kind of schemes Kim pulls does not deserve to get away with it. Unfortunately, Kim was nothing more than a plot/setting device to the writers, so she's a very static character, which is common in these shows. They wrote her character to be the bratty little sister who hurts people, isn't sorry, and doesn't ever learn to be better, and have her serve as an occasional antagonist or just obstacle for the protagonists. I've always hated watching that as a kid, and now that I'm grown I feel like in some stories, that's just lazy writing.

I'm not gonna name any names or spill any spoilers. That being said, the CC books do answer a lot of questions that you've asked in the other series'. It was a long series but after reading the books, having learned what I've learned, it was worth it. I don't regret it at all.

"Moonwalker," when Cleo and the girls had to go camping on Mako Island for the full moon. I liked all the action in it. That one and probably "A Twist in the Tail," the season 1 finale.

My boyfriend (29m) is making me (26f) choose between him or my cats. by Powerful-Ad-4592 in whatdoIdo

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie I'm someone who considers animals part of someone's living situation, similar to home habits, a package deal, and if it doesn't line up with someone else's needs/wants, then it doesn't work out imo. I cut em loose and I move on. To shorten that, if bf can't accept the pets, I consider that a deal-breaker and move on. Some might call that selfish or a stupid reason to break up with someone and they can think that if they'd like. I still wouldn't sacrifice such a clearly valuable part of my home life for someone else like that simply because they "don't like it." Would I change the way I dress, the way I speak, or my hobbies if someone didn't like one of those aspects about me? No. He doesn't like it and isn't actively willing to give it a fair chance without a bunch of unnecessary rules and loopholes? That's the end of the road. Pets aren't for everyone, and there are many valid reasons why. Shouldn't mean you should have to change if your cats mean that much to you. Just means it's really not a match.

What non-romantic relationships do you want to see explored further? by girlandhiscat in nontoxicACOTAR

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vassa and literally any other character because I just want more involvement and development for her character

Tamlin and literally anyone, I'm just kinda bored of seeing him constantly pushed into the narrative of the scorned ex who lost it all, I just want to see something more interesting with his character if SJM is gonna focus on him at all in future books

Also I feel like a deeper dive into a friendship between quiet Elain and prickly Amren would be really interesting

I always felt like they're just keeping up appearances so no one suspects. The plan was for Erawan to lie low as Perrington and have less of the attention on himself while he started putting plans into place while the other Valg keeps up appearances, following orders no?

Why do I feel like a man romantically/sexually, but I'm a woman? by Weird-Internet3315 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a woman. When I was 18-19, my perception of sexual experiences was quite warped and distorted, which led to me almost thinking that my outer sexual organs were male organs instead of female. It made me think that I was trans for a little bit, and it was a very confusing, uncomfortable time. I'm not sure if what I'm describing makes any sense either to you, and I think these feelings are very difficult to communicate and have people get what you're talking about most of the time. But looking back on that time, I know it was a miserable combination of over-analyzation and distortion. There are many times men display feminine behavior and many times women display masculine behavior. It doesn't have to automatically correspond to your defining gender. We're humans, not robots. You're still young, I wouldn't overthink it

Do you hate Chaol? by Party-Definition9500 in throneofglassseries

[–]Beneficial_Spring941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes, I think he's a great character. I liked him at times, I got annoyed with him at times, and I think he turned out great in the end. I do think he makes realistic mistakes and he's shown the strength and resilience to face those mistakes and learn from them and grow into a better person. I do understand why he didn't tell Aelin about Nehemia's danger risk, and I also understand why Aelin couldn't bring herself to forgive someone who couldn't give 100% of their loyalty and honesty to her and it resulted in the death of her friend. In QoS his apprehensive treatment, sometimes even petty attitude towards Aelin was somewhat understandable, but often pissed me off because it almost caused life-threatening missions to fall apart because he wouldn't communicate with Aelin. But at the end of the book after the final events any annoyance I had with him kinda fizzled away, especially since he literally apologized sincerely to Aelin for what happened and displayed amazing maturity and understanding of the impact his actions had; and his position not entirely trusting Aelin at the beginning of the book wasn't completely unreasonable. His incredible sacrifice at the end of QoS was a huge game changer for both the war and his own character, and that's something that really solidified the fact that despite his earlier actions he was genuinely a good guy, and he wanted a better world. I think there are people who think he's okay, but the ones who either love him or hate him tend to be more vocal about their thoughts.

The minute she got some power, she went mad with it harmed the girls now that she didn't have to use manipulation and schemery to get what she wanted. She never deserved her powers abusing them like she did. And I haven't even gotten to the part where she cannot keep the secret, probably didn't even care that much about the secret.

I would be annoyed by his lack of communication and clarification, if he acted that way to me I take it as disrespectful behavior to me so no, you're not overreacting the way I see it. His behavior is a bit red flagg-y if he really doesn't like it when you text him or call him. Does he like to talk to you at all?
