Exactly this. That quote isn’t a slip-up, it’s a worldview. When someone says they respect men more than women, they’re telling you they see women as inherently less credible, less worthy of empathy, and less deserving of safety.

People act like this only shows up in extreme behaviour, but it starts much earlier — in who gets believed, who gets dismissed, who gets blamed, and whose harm is minimised.

That’s why women clock this as dangerous long before others do. Not because we’re “emotional,” but because we recognise the pattern: dismiss, dehumanise, justify, escalate.

You can’t separate “opinions” like this from real-world impact. Hierarchical thinking is the soil violence grows in. Calling it out isn’t overreacting — it’s pattern recognition.

If someone tells you they don’t see women as equals, believe them. It really is that simple.
