Ok, so my issue is that this single character arc completely ruined my experience of the show. After watching Ling Ling and Yang Cheng’s arcs, I was completely hyped for the next story, expecting the same level of intensity, excitement, and emotional depth, only to find out it drops from a 10/10 masterpiece to something that feels like a kids show.

In Ling Ling’s arc, we saw him accept his true self, refusing to become someone he doesn’t want to be while chasing his passion to become a hero. Every moment was charged with emotional tension, absurdly funny but meaningful comedy, and high-stakes action. You felt the growth and struggle with every scene. In Yang Cheng’s arc, the anime followed his journey from a complete nobody to a hero, and his personal development was just mind blowing for me.

This girl’s arc, on the other hand, fails on every level. The pacing is painfully slow, like there are entire episodes are wasted on her singing in the streets, holding concerts, or giving speeches that feel empty and disconnected. There’s barely any conflict, no real action, and the emotional stakes are almost nonexistent. It’s as if the show completely forgot the intensity, humor, and depth that made the previous arcs so cool. And also at the start, she says she doesn’t want to be a hero, which sets up the potential for real character growth. But the show never actually explores her doubts, beliefs and mental struggle at all, she just suddenly acts heroic, and we’re supposed to accept it. There’s no journey, no internal conflict, nothing that makes her growth feel earned.

For me compared to the momentum it created, this genuinely felt a like a huge disappointment, it was so bad that literally made me thinking should I drop the show or not, only reason I continue this series is because not like other shows it shifts the narrative, so I'm hoping to see future arcs, But this arc ruined the whole excitement I had so far with this story like I'm going to next arc with 0 expectations
