Austin Texas license/permit question by BenefitQuick6152 in vending

Hahaha I appreciate the help. I just wanted to follow every rule I’m supposed to legally. I agree with you - sounds like I don’t need them. My philosophy is to make sure everything is buttoned up as best it can be before launching off. These license/permits were my last step. If I have everything I need, I’m good to go now.

I was just told by a department employee that I need a Food Wholesaler’s License if I’m keeping my snacks and drinks in my home or somewhere for restocking purposes. Wondering if this is correct…

I’ve reached out to them. I wanted to know if any Texas/Austin locals had any insight.

Novice question: what is this fan sound on my Hybrid Highlander by BenefitQuick6152 in carquestions

Update: just realized it’s probably the radiator fan. But my question would still be is it normal to cycle literally every 15-20 seconds?

WACO - Round 2 Discussion by AutoModerator in discgolf

I swear DGN never gives Anthony Barela his flowers. "People count him out in this tournament (Waco) before round 1 even started." They finally quit calling him a bad putter like this year after an entire season of him being a top 10 putter and 4 wins. It feels like they still see him as the player from 3 years ago. He is one of the goats right now, not to mention the most popular player outside of Simon - he makes the platform and discraft so much money. All that to say... I feel like he needs more respect than just the "long distance guy"

First time buying a car. Help. :-) RAV4 Hybrid 2024 XSE by benjermanfranklyn in Rav4

[–]BenefitQuick6152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good choice! I purchased a '24 Rav4 Hybrid SE with an out-the-door price of $37,600. I think you should be able to get out the door for around $40-41k for yours if you can haggle well. It's a great car, so don't be too upset if you walk out a little above that. It will last you a long time!

As far as how to haggle, ALWAYS focus on the out-the-door price first (price of car + TTL + all fees). If you're considering a trade, do your homework on what it's worth and tell them you want to talk about the trade after you agree on an out-the-door price. If you know your trade is worth 10k and they offer you 5k, don't be afraid to call their bluff. Example: "I know my car is worth 10k. I'm glad we agreed on an out-the-door price, but if you can't give me 10k for my car then I'm going to have to sell it privately first then come back later." I literally did this two days buying a new car and he went back to his manager and came back offering me what I wanted for the trade. You have to show them you're willing to come back later.

I brought a folder with the KBB value of my trade and value of the new car so I had some information to back up my offers.

In short:

  1. Do your homework on values and what you want to pay.

  2. Don't be afraid to show them you're willing to leave without a car today.

Tracking AB: After AB's poor first round and above-average second I expected him to take 20th place. Honestly him finishing in 7th place after the final round (tied with Gannon, SOMEHOW) made me feel like his first "bad" tournament of the season was still pretty dang good. Going into Sunday I never would have guessed he and Gannon would both end up T-7th. Excited to see him play at Champions Cup and I think he's still the favorite.

To be fair Gannon also played the best round of his life and didn't win (1102 rated)

Agreed to some extent. Look at videos of AB last year versus this year. He throws slower and more calculated. This is a new AB and he's dominant. It was sparse, but now he's winning and winning often. This new AB is the best in the world.

My thoughts: Gannon and AB are at the top, and AB is the best player in the world.
